Hiroyuki Oshima is a composer who specializes in ambient and mood music, and also the president of doujin circle Ninja Action Team (忍者放送協会), which has published several unique style Be-Music Source files (BMS).

Hiroyuki has composed songs for several vocalists such as Aki Misawa, Chata, Haruka Shimotsuki, and Rekka Katakiri. In particular, Rekka Katakiri's major debut EP why, or why not, was used as an ending theme for the Higurashi no naku koro ni (ひぐらしのなく頃に, also known as When They Cry) anime series, and this song catapulted Rekka and Hiroyuki to fame.
