AC DDR A: Difference between revisions

This event started on August 8th, 2016. The event involves DanceDanceRevolution character [[BABY-LON]].

 

At the end of every song upon starting the event, you will see a pixel BABY-LON climb up stairs to reach the top of a staircase. Upon reaching the top, you'll unlock a song. How many steps you get per song depends on your grade in a song. Distribution is as follows:

Note that you once unlock a song, you'll have to restart progress again on the next song. Any leftover steps you have from unlocking a song do ''not'' transfer over.

 

After Dancer in the flare is unlocked, the event ends.

This event started on April 27th, 2017, and will only appear after the player has cleared BABY-LON'S ADVENTURE and plays a song on EXTRA STAGE. The event involves DanceDanceRevolution character [[RINON]]. '''You must be on Premium Play to access this event.'''

 

 

Songs available prior in EXTRA EXCLUSIVE in this event can be unlocked for all stages as opposed to FINAL or EXTRA STAGEs only. Unlocked songs can be played even on non-Premium Play after they are unlocked.

Unlike BABY-LON'S ADVENTURE, you only get closer to your goal through your final grade: combo and first time plays do not count. The step distribution for your final grade is the same as in BABY-LON'S ADVENTURE. Each CHALLENGE chart takes exactly 35 steps each to unlock (82 steps for RINON'S ADVENTURE II, 105 for III), unlocked one at a time. Similar to the previous event, excess steps do not transfer over to the next song.

After completing RINON'S ADVENTURE III, players can unlock [[ENDYMION]] as an EXTRA EXCLUSIVE song. It takes exactly 156 steps to achieve this goal.

The Result Star system introduced in [[AC DDR X3|DanceDanceRevolution X3 vs 2ndMIX]] was carried over and available only when playing PREMIUM MODE. Once again, the [[DDR AC General Info|LIFE GAUGE modifier]] is restricted during EXTRA STAGE and this time, it is set to LIFE4. From July 13th, 2017, the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE is finally present after a long absence, but it may only be played after clearing [[ENDYMION]] on EXTRA STAGE as the EXTRA EXCLUSIVE LEVEL A with a AA+ grade or higher.

Result Stars' requirements were changed:

|For playing with LIFE4 or RISKY modifier (except AAA and minimum AA- with Full Combo)

To access EXTRA STAGE, you must collect 9 Result Stars. If you fail to collect 9 in a single round, progress carries to the next round.

At the end of every round, your [[RINON]]'s HEAT POWER gauge will increase by one bar. Once you fill up three bars, you advance to EXTRA STAGE Level 2, which gives three additional Result Stars at the end of each round. Fill it up four more times for EXTRA STAGE Level 3, which gives you a full set of Result Stars, automatically unlocks charts played on EXTRA SAVIOR even if failed, and is required to access ENDYMION on the EXTRA EXCLUSIVE folder if you completed RINON'S ADVENTURE. This means that every round past your 7th will result in EXTRA STAGE. [[RINON]] will do a "forced cooldown" during the eAMUSEMENT maintenance window, returning you to Level 1.

On June 13th, 2016, DanceDanceRevolution A introduced two special folders called ''EXTRA EXCLUSIVE'' and ''EXTRA SAVIOR'', available if the player earns an EXTRA STAGE.

EXTRA EXCLUSIVE songs available as FINAL STAGE are available to all players, even for NORMAL play without an eAMUSEMENT PASS. As the name implies, these songs cannot be unlocked for play outside of EXTRA STAGE (or FINAL STAGE, if applicable) until they are unlocked on the RINON'S ADVENTURE event.

'''Note''': You will '''not''' be able to access ENDYMION for EXTRA STAGE until you complete all of RINON'S ADVENTURE, as well as unlock the ability to play the song. ENDYMION's CHALLENGE chart can only be played after clearing [[ACE FOR ACES]] as the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE.

You will also lose '''your entire RINON's HEAT POWER gauge''' if you choose to play ENDYMION (the game will warn you of this before you play it) regardless if you clear or fail it. By accessing this song, RINON will do a "forced cooldown", returning you to Level 1.

This event started on June 13th, 2016. This mode is for unlocking for normal play both new songs and old ones from previous unlock events that were not automatically unlocked in DanceDanceRevolution A or earlier (with the exception of [[FLOOR INFECTION]] songs).

Clear a song on EXTRA STAGE on a specific difficulty level and you unlock all the charts from that difficulty downward. For example, if you clear a song's DIFFICULT chart, you'll unlock DIFFICULT and BASIC and BEGINNER, but not EXPERT. If you're at EXTRA STAGE LEVEL 3, you'll unlock charts regardless if you pass or fail.

While you are free to use options like CUT and the ability to turn off Freeze Arrows and jumps on EXTRA SAVIOR, doing so will disqualify you from unlocking a song.

For songs with CHALLENGE charts (such as [[IX]] and [[JOMANDA]]), you must unlock the EXPERT chart first before you can unlock the CHALLENGE chart.

Single and Double charts for a song have to be unlocked separately.
