beatmania featuring DREAMS COME TRUE

Release Information

  • Release date: May 31st, 2000

General Information / Changes

  • Much like Dancing Stage featuring DREAMS COME TRUE, beatmania featuring DREAMS COME TRUE's song list is composed of songs by the J-POP band DREAMS COME TRUE, along with some licensed and in-house remixes.
  • Artist info is not shown in-game since the main music focus is on DREAMS COME TRUE.
  • Only arcade appearance of MONKeY LIVE mode, which acts like EXPERT mode from the other beatmania games, with the only exception of a short "MONKeY LIVE" section between songs, which lets you gain gauge back by scratching on the Free Zones.
  • Only beatmania title sound directed by Kaoko Aoki, one of the earliest artists for the pop'n music series.
  • Only arcade beatmania title to have music previews.
  • Only beatmania title that has different color schemes and note colors for each play side.
    • The 1P side has a blue scheme, gray notes for the white key buttons, and blue notes for the black key buttons.
    • The 2P side has a pink scheme, gray notes for the white key buttons, and pink notes for the black key buttons.
  • None of beatmania featuring DREAMS COME TRUE's songs have ANOTHER charts.
  • The BM-II DOUBLE modifier is not present in this game, despite being released after completeMIX 2, where the modifier was first introduced.
  • Event Mode in this game has a few differences not found in any other game.
    • There is still a timer that can run out, forcing a song to be selected.
    • To select a song, one or both START buttons and a key button must be pressed at the same time.

Songs With Default Scroll Speed Multipliers

  • Some songs in this game have a scroll speed multiplier applied to them by default when playing certain charts.
    • In other words, on such charts, the in-game BPM is higher than the displayed BPM, and thus the chart scrolls faster than the displayed BPM would imply.
    • When a HI-SPEED option is used on such a chart, that HI-SPEED's multiplier will stack (multiply) with that chart's default scroll speed multiplier.
  • Songs that have such charts, as well as other relevant information, are shown in the table below (for all games and applicable songs, see here).
Song Display BPM Multiplier (B/H*) In-Game BPM (B/H*)
朝がまた来る [SCI-FI ANALOG SLAVE KONAMI REMIX] 130 x1.4 / x1.4 182 / 182
決戦は金曜日 125 x1.4 / x1.4 175 / 175

    • The Mode Select menu is skipped, preventing selection of game mode.

      • 2P START + any key button: DOUBLE
      • 1P+2P START + any key button: BATTLE
        • Two-player non-BATTLE mode (DOUBLE chart with two lifebars) cannot be specifically selected while in Event Mode.
          • However, if a chart says that BATTLE cannot be played and BATTLE is selected anyway, it will play two-player non-BATTLE mode (DOUBLE chart with two lifebars).
