General Information / Changes
- A new cabinet is introduced, with the following changes:
- A touchscreen was added below the monitor, which is used to set modifiers and options, and as an alternative to sort and select songs in the song selection screen. During gameplay, the HIDDEN and SUDDEN values can be adjusted with the touch screen.
- A headphone jack was added.
- Two pop-kun buttons were added at the side of the regular nine buttons, which upon being pressed toggle on/off HIDDEN (red pop-kun) and/or SUDDEN (blue pop-kun).
- The numeric keypad has been removed.
- First pop'n music game to display the song's BPM in the song selection screen since pop'n music 7.
- LANE TYPE option has been added, which can be set in NORMAL (bigger lanes to fit the bigger screen) or SLIM (same lane width as previous games).
- The judgment adjustment option from pop'n music Lively has been added as JUDGE ADJUST.
- All new non-licensed songs have genres once again, for the first time since pop'n music Sunny Park.
- First pop'n music title with new designs/animations for non-Mimi/Nyami characters in the default song list since pop'n music うさぎと猫と少年の夢.
- All new animations are drawn in a higher resolution than prior games' characters.
- The portrait images for the new designs are animated in the song selection screen.
- EASY difficulty was renamed LIGHT.
