Overview

Waiwai pop'n doubutsuen (わいわいポップン動物園) is pop'n music Sunny Park's second unlock event. It started on July 3rd, 2013 and continued until the game's eAMUSEMENT support ended June 25th, 2024.

To unlock songs in this event, you must round up a certain amount of animals into a designated area corresponding to the song. You earn these animals by clearing various conditions as you play. The breakdown is as follows:

• One animal each for each song played (max three a round).
• One animal for each cleared song (max three a round).
• One bonus animal for matching with someone in a NET Taisen mode battle.
• One bonus animal for obtaining EXTRA STAGE.
• One bonus animal for your first play of the day.
• Two bonus animals for each song played in the 熱闘！BEMANIスタジアム event (only applies once a round).
• From September 12th until December 19th, 2013, playing a round of beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro, REFLEC BEAT colette, or SOUND VOLTEX II -infinite infection- (September 19th onwards) prior to playing a round of Sunny Park awarded you two bonus animals in your next game of Sunny Park.
• From October 10th through October 17th, 2013, two bonus animals are obtained if you match with a Mecha Gorilla in a NET Taisen mode match (max twice a round).

Old Event Unlocks

After finishing a round of songs, you then select the song you want to place your animals in via the buttons on the pop'n music controller. After the number above the song reaches 0, you unlock that song.

When you start a round of Waiwai pop'n doubutsuen for the first time, you'll see five tables of various colors: left green, left blue, red, right blue, and right green. The far left green table exclusively has old Sunny Park unlocks not unlocked prior to the event's start.

• Fuyuyasumi! Hokahoka BEMANI daisakusen (冬休み！ほかほかBEMANI大作戦) songs cost five animals each.
• jubeat demo pop'n music demo GITADORA (jubeatでもpop'n musicでもGITADORA) songs cost ten animals each for full charts, eight for HYPER and EX, or eight for just the EX chart.
• pop'n Walker (ポップンウォーカー) songs cost 20 animals each for full charts, 16 for HYPER and EX, or ten for just the EX chart.
• 私立BEMANI学園 songs (available since December 19th, 2013) cost ten animals each.

New Unlocks

The other four tables consist of brand-new songs. Each of these take 54 to unlock, with the exception of the final two songs (INBOLIC takes 99, and ANGELION takes 21). You cannot progress further in one color until you clear the previous song of that color first.

PHASE 1:

• Left blue: EXCITING ROCK
• Red: DIVA POP, NOMADIC NATION 2
• Right blue: PATHETIC SKA
• Right green: LOVE MUSICAL

PHASE 2 (started on August 12th, 2013):

• Left blue: BEAST METAL, REGRETS FEELING
• Red: CHIPPIN'RAVE, POP MUSIC
• Right blue: EDM, PUPCORE

PHASE 3 (started on December 25th, 2013):

• Left blue: ROMA SWING
• Red: NIGHTMARE METAL
• Right blue: AMBITION ポプコネ
• Right green: MOF POP ポプコネ

PHASE FINAL (started on February 6th, 2014):

• Right green: NINJA METAL ポプコネ
• Red: IMBOLC (requires ALL previous songs to be unlocked first)
• Red: ANGELION (requires IMBOLIC to be fully unlocked)

Once ANGELION is unlocked, you will receive a final animation thanking you, and the event will no longer appear afterwards in further credits.
