- Mizukagami is a Japanese historical tale that deals with the oldest time period starting with the legendary Emperor Jimmu and ending with Emperor Ninmyou. It is told by a fictitious old woman who is visited by Buddhist monk while staying at Hasedera. All the facts are taken from Fusou Ryakuki (扶桑略記) written by Kouen (皇円).
