Lyrics

Game Size

I open my eyes to another day
To things that I have known, things that happen everyday

I feel there's a shadow creeping up on me
The wind blows through the streets
Telling me something I don't see

Draw the line, (and) turn the time
Taking back what was mine
Now I could change almost anything

Hold tight, search for the light
Do I know what's wrong or right?
Put the pieces back where they belong

The air is still. A path appears.
The choice is clear. I'm finally here.

Safely back in your arms...

Long Version

I open my eyes to another day
To things that I have known,
things that happen everyday.
I feel there's a shadow creeping up on me
The wind blows through the streets
Telling me something I don't see

Draw the line, (and) turn the time
Taking back what was mine
Now I could change almost anything
Hold tight, search for the light
Do I know what's wrong or right
Put the pieces back where they belong

The days and the months are drifting by
As though they didn't notice seasons changing in the breeze
They all look the same but I sense something's there
Waiting around the path
Revealing a truth that I will defend

Draw the line, (and) turn the time
Taking back what was mine
Now I could change almost anything
Hold tight, search for the light
Do I know what's wrong or right?
Put the pieces back where they belong

In my heavy heart I see the truth,
no scar ever heals
They never fade away
Each and every one...

It's going to be all right
Light comes after every night

Draw the line, (and) turn the time
Taking back what was mine
Now I could change almost anything
Hold tight, search for the light
Do I know what's wrong or right
Put the pieces back where they belong

The air is still,
A path appears,
The choice is clear,
I'm finally here.

Safely back in your arms...

Song Production Information

DanceDanceRevolution SuperNOVA2

Masanori Akita

I wrote this song as the theme song for a DS game, but when I heard that it'll be used in DDR this time, I thought "huh? Can you dance to that song?!".
Because DDR has the image of dancing to up-tempo dance tunes.

So, this is a middle tempo girls' rock song.
Since it's a theme song, I listened to the producer's requests of wanting the game's image and keywords to be specific, and the song unusually turned out in my image. (I always selfishly make whatever I want...)
I completely changed the atmosphere in the chorus, and tried to express the protagonist's sadness and impulse after the chorus.

Junko Kawano

This time, the theme song and opening video of "Time Hollow ~Search for the Stolen Past~" are included in "DDR SuperNOVA2", thank you very much!

I had a vague and ambiguous request for this song... but it turned out better than I imagined by Akita, so as the person who made the request, I simply bowed down to his professionalism. I'm moved by him.

Since this anime video was originally played many times on a Nintendo DS, the high resolution video can now be viewed on home console games just like "DDR SuperNOVA2", since it was created with an acceptable quality for theaters, so I'd be happy if you can fully enjoy it while dancing to the song's rhythms.

DanceDanceRevolution X

This epic song has made the jump to DDR! Both quiet and stormy, it has been painted with pounding guitar riffs, heavy drums and powerful, yet evocative, vocals. Loose yourself in its mystery!
