As WORLD SEQUENCE, I make songs using various world music themes, with this song containing a combination of waltz and jazz.
At first I didn't really think much about the genre and wrote whatever came to mind, but when I let other people hear it they said "What is this?" and "There are several jazz waltzes similar to this", so I used it as the genre name. I still don't really know what actual jazz waltz sounds like...(^^;。
In my head, I envisioned old European movies containing a slightly gloomy atmosphere.
Something like "A Day in the Life of a Son Born in a Poor Blacksmith's Family"... (laughs). This song resembles an era of industrial development, where a city is covered in oil and smoke.
