I started this work as a representation of HES' existing visual materials. When he first showed me the theme for his design this time, a bass pattern began looping over and over in my mind; I decided to use it throughout the entire song, persistently driving it forward. (Actually, that phrase has been tucked away in the corner of my mind for some years now.) Normally the essence of the track would be done at that point, and it becomes sort of like a puzzle where I have to layer sounds to get the right mixture, but as is fitting for Bemani techno, this song didn't go over that easily. That is, it's hard-boiled. | I started this work as a representation of HES' existing visual materials.
