Exclusive to DanceDanceRevolution PS3 is a new mode called CLUB MODE, which is the game's only way to unlock new songs. Here, you dance from 4 to 20 songs, all determined for you. You start off playing in BEGINNER mode, but as you progress more and more and get more PERFECTS, you can play higher difficulty levels. Do note that screwing up too many times will result in you being knocked down a difficulty level. You also have to pay attention to your bar - if it goes down at any point, it's an automatic Game Over. (Though you will keep any points you earned.)
The purpose of this mode is to add to your DANCE SKILL bar. Each time it fills up a single whole column, you unlock a new song. The more points you earn while playing, the more the DANCE SKILL bar will be filled up. Each song also has its own SONG STATUS - raising this to a certain amount will allow you to play a song freely in your own CLUB.
Do note that the DLC Full Versions can also be played in CLUB MODE, but they count as two songs.
