Round 1's site lists a DDR US version coming in June, though it doesn't say which one. Their Twitter feed says something similar (though they imply that the old DDR USA is the target): https://twitter.com/Round1USA/status/718589597425524736. --Thunderbird (talk) 01:40, 9 April 2016 (UTC) | Round 1's site lists a DDR US version coming in June, though it doesn't say which one. == Victory Concent ==
Even though he appeared in a capture of the game in 2016, he hasn't been seen since, wonder if it was an error and that the characters removed in 2013 are merely disabled, a la the dancemania adverts in the US CS release of DDR MAX, and that his appearance in A may be a bug? Sounds weird, but this is probably why they were able to easily revive RINON in 2014, though i imagine adding or removing characters isn't that hard either tbh but who knows - SR 2019 (11pm)

While we're on the subject of Dancemania, I've been still waiting for someone to post the Japanese DDR SuperNOVA cabinets that supposedly still mentioned KONAMI having a deal with TOSHIBA-EMI, since I'm pretty sure KONAMI just individually licensed tracks starting with SuperNOVA. (None of which appeared on the SuperNOVA OST, which was published by KONAMI themselves.) --M.B. (talk) 04:45, 4 February 2017 (UTC) | While we're on the subject of Dancemania, I've been still waiting for someone to post the Japanese DDR SuperNOVA cabinets that supposedly still mentioned KONAMI having a deal with TOSHIBA-EMI, since I'm pretty sure KONAMI just individually licensed tracks starting with SuperNOVA. :I found a video that shows the SN AC songlist screen, and the various rotating title labels from EXTREME and prior are missing. So I'd say it's reasonable to assume no deal was in place when the game released. I can't find a video of the attract sequence though. I did find one for SN2, which contains no mention of Dancemania anywhere in it. --Thunderbird (talk) 16:47, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
::There was a deal between Toshiba Emi and Konami for DDR SN, but not in the usual way. Ads were on the website, or the EES credits or the artwork displayed on the side of the cab on japanese versions. --SomethingRandom (talk) 11:26 PM, 4 Feb 2018 (UTC)

* The website said it's licensed by EXIT TUNES, much like I said it was years ago: https://p.eagate.573.jp/game/ddr/ddra/p/music/index.html?offset=5&filter=0&filtertype=0&playmode=2 | * The website said it's licensed by EXIT TUNES, much like I said it was years ago: https://p.eagate.573.jp/game/ddr/ddra/p/music/index.html?offset=5&filter=0&filtertype=0&playmode=2
** However, the SOUND VOLTEX site does not list it as an EXIT TUNES license (https://p.eagate.573.jp/game/sdvx/iii/p/music/detail.html?list_id=10), while it does for licenses of that label (see ). It is also shown as a KO in REFLEC BEAT (), so dunno. --FinalOffset (talk) 18:30, 11 August 2017 (UTC)
== Endymion Difficult -> Ace For Aces Difficult can unlock Endymion Challenge?? ==
Saw this was edited a couple of weeks ago and was surprised. There's definitely at least one livestream video out there showing that at the time Endymion Difficult was allowed to unlock Ace For Aces, a pass on Ace For Aces will not unlock Endymion Challenge (it must be gotten to via Endymion Expert). Was this requirement relaxed recently? Zowayix (talk) 22:41, 7 September 2017 (UTC)
I don't know. Many of my edits are careful interpretations/cleanups of information that's already on the page. For example, this was on the page at the time: "ENDYMION's CHALLENGE chart can only be played after clearing ACE FOR ACES as the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE." I do know that one requirement was relaxed already, that ENCORE EXTRA STAGE is available from ENDYMION DIFFICULT rather than EXPERT, and from AA+ rather than AAA. If you can confirm that EXPERT is needed to unlock the CHALLENGE chart, feel free to edit it. --Grif (talk) 23:12, 7 September 2017 (UTC)
:AAA was never required to advance to Ace for Aces. Also, I suspect the Challenge chart for Endymion still requires accessing the encore stage from its Expert chart (bemaniwiki certainly seems to think so). Cause if you think about it, if you need to use the Difficult chart to even get to Ace for Aces, the Challenge chart on Endymion is probably going to murder you. --Thunderbird (talk) 01:42, 8 September 2017 (UTC)
== Editing wars == | |||
* PLEASE stop going into edit wars on the DDR pages. The amount of edits to the EXTRA STAGE system information for the DDR 2014/A pages is absurd. I seriously am contemplating locking the pages if this continues. What was once simple, short, and to the point have become like essays. --M.B. (talk) 21:25, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
** I agree. Adding the "plot" of RINON'S ADVENTURE was unnecessary, and there is a significant amount of commentary. Some new information was added, such as explicitly listing the FINAL STAGE songs (less ambiguous now) and patch dates/details (though this can probably be moved to a new section or removed). I would like to do another cleanup, personally. --Grif (talk) 21:59, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
*** I would very much like that. Commentary has no such place on a proper wiki page. --M.B. (talk) 22:05, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
**** I'd gladly edit the Rinon's Adventure section to keep only the useful details as the event is a far cry from the complex stuff IIDX gets. I'll base everything on what BEMANIWiki says. --UBerserker (talk) 22:31, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
== eAmusement requirement to boot ==
I'm pretty sure the North American version doesn't use the eAmusement participation service (just normal eAmusement that was the state of things prior to DDR 2013), so therefore it doesn't need eAmusement connectivity to boot up. I've heard tell of at least one D&B location having connection issues at one point, but it didn't stop their machines from starting up. It'd also help to explain why there have been almost zero license additions since the game's release. --Thunderbird (talk) 02:48, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
== Why is Canada removed? Put it back! ==
I am disappointed about Remy editors implying that the United States and North America are the same. They are not! Canada had to wait over five months after USA before getting its first (and as of today, its sole) Dance Dance Revolution A arcade machine. To imply otherwise with a "North America" release date of July 6 is dishonest and misleading. It doesn't matter if Thunderbird says that one build was made for the Americas, as Canada got it much later, and no machines were sold outside of North America.
I request that the release dates be reverted to this:
* Release dates: | |||
** Japan, Asia: March 30th, 2016
** Korea: April 4th, 2016
** United States: July 6th, 2016
** Canada: December 5th, 2016
** Europe: December 15th, 2017
If you can separate (South) Korea from the rest of Asia, then you can separate Canada from USA. Please stop lumping Canada and the United States together as North America, unless they have the same release date. In the "General Information / Changes" section, it would be good to note that an American company (Dave & Buster's) brought DDR A to Canada, as opposed to a Canadian distributor. Please understand and stop making these unwelcome edits. --LABcrab (talk) 06:18, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
Nope. | |||
* 1st: D&B is an american company, not canadian (Or if you using your logic, I can say that USA has official IIDX cabinets. But it's not.)
* 2nd: Canada has only one(!) DDR A cabinet, so it can't be taken seriously, IMO. --Artyomich (talk) 13:12, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
** South Korea gets a distinct version of Bemani games from the rest of Asia (denoted with K in place of J, whereas Asia's version info has A, and it's also localized into Korean), which is why it is separated in the release lists. The version of DDR A in Canada is no different from the one available in the US. The release date for all of the Americas is technically July 6, as that's around the time when it was possible for arcade operators to purchase the game (though I suspect the real date may be earlier, but it's hard to tell). Also, the previous listing showed Canada as (imported), which was removed by someone else. --Thunderbird (talk) 13:31, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
* I'm with Artyomich and Thunderbird on this, personally. However, I'll move the CS games that have "US" on the title to "NA", for further consistency. --FinalOffset (talk) 02:21, 23 May 2019 (UTC)
== Song colors on the songwheel ==
Is there actually a difference between the yellow and gold coloring here? I get the impression that those two may actually be the same color, both on here and A20. I looked at a video of New Era on A20, and the "gold" on both it and Avenger didn't seem any different from the yellow for other hidden songs. --Thunderbird (talk) 03:13, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
* Managed to check into this myself, and I can't see a difference. Merged the two here and on the A20 page. --Thunderbird (talk) 01:09, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
== "Absent from North American/European version" listing ==
It feels redundant to list the songs added after Ace's US release to this section, because the songlist tables above already list those songs as Asia only. --Thunderbird (talk) 18:22, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
* Yeah, I agree. Will remove those from here and the A20 page. --FinalOffset (talk) 19:26, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
* I agree too, but I don't think the "(Asia Only)" in the titles for the added dates aren't visible enough of an indicator for the song being Asia only. It could easily be skipped over.
:I'd at least suggest making the song titles bolded or something along that line to denote "Asia Only".
