During the development of [[AC pnm 9|pop'n music 9]], [[Jun Wakita|wac]] asked pop'n music fans to send in requests for songs, modifiers, and even BEMANI crossovers that would later be implemented into pop'n music 10. The event itself was first announced on the pop'n music 9 website on February 26th, 2003. Requests were closed on March 19th, 2003.

As the name of the event applies (when translated, the event is called "please ask the stars!"), you make a wish on a star to unlock songs. To do so, you must fulfill certain requirements via a roulette at the start of your round. After selecting your game mode, five buckets will be displayed with a random quota. Successfully completing the quota adds a shooting star into the bucket. Once a bucket is full, you can no longer add stars to that bucket. The five bucket colors are red, blue, green, yellow, and white.
