==Original Course Setting==
Exclusive to beatmania IIDX 7th style CS, Master's Mode is a modified version of Survival from the earlier CS beatmania IIDX games. Once you begin the mode, you choose one difficulty level: LIGHT, 7/14KEYS, OR ANOTHER (songs without ANOTHER charts will play 7/14KEYS charts instead).
Allows the user to create custom expert courses.

==Gallery Collection==
In this mode you play ''every'' non-preview song in the game in any order you wish on a red bar, and can select options between every song as well like in FREE. You can also save at any time; three save files can be saved on one memory card. Every time you clear a song, 2% is added to the gauge, allowing for more leeway. However, if the gauge fails down to 0 in ''any'' song, it's an instant GAME OVER, and you will need to restart from the very beginning of Master's Mode. You will receive a potion every time you restart Master's Mode, which will refill your life to maximum if you fall down to 0%. How many potions you can obtain depend on which difficulty/amount of songs you cleared:

==Master's Mode==
* NORMAL: level 6 or higher (up to a maximum of ten potions can be held)
A modified version of Survival mode. Master's Mode has you play all of the songs in the game on either LIGHT7/LIGHT14, 7KEYS/14KEYS, or ANOTHER(7)/ANOTHER(14) (if you select ANOTHER(7)/ANOTHER(14), songs without Anothers will be played on 7KEYS/14KEYS). There are a number of differences between Master's Mode and Survival Mode, however:
* 7KEYS: flashing 7s (ten potions can be held)
#You can choose the order in which you will play the songs.
* ANOTHER: 5.1.1., Colors (radio edit), DXY! GET ON BEAT (WILD STYLE), Holic, Kakumei, MAX 300, NEMESIS, Regulus, Spica, stoic, sync, THE SAFARI, Tomorrow Perfume and V (up to 16 potions can be held)
#You can change high-speed settings before each song.

#You can save your game between songs if you exit Master's Mode (it will let you continue your unfinished game if you reselect Master's Mode).
Once you clear all non-preview songs, Abyss -The Heavens Remix- will appear as your final song. Clear it to unlock it. What charts you unlock for it depend on the difficulty you selected: LIGHT only unlocks the LIGHT charts, 7/14KEY unlocks both it and the LIGHT, and ANOTHER unlocks all charts.
#You can have up to three different Master's Mode progress files at once.
#If you fail a song in Master's Mode, you are given a potion (provided you meet the requirements) which will refill your life to maximum.  However, you are required to start over all the way from the beginning. Failing multiple times will allow you to accumulate multiple potions. To gain a potion, you must clear the number of songs (or more) from a specific set equal to the number of potions you would have at the end. For Light 7, the songs must be 6 stars or higher. For 7 Keys, the songs must be flashing 7s. For Another, the songs are: 5.1.1., Colors (radio edit), DXY! GET ON BEAT (WILD STYLE), Holic, Kakumei, MAX 300, NEMESIS, Regulus, Spica, stoic, sync, THE SAFARI, Tomorrow Perfume and V. Light 7 and 7 Keys have 10 potions as the maximum, while 16 can be earned under Another.
#Your groove gauge maximum increases over time.  At the beginning, your groove gauge has a maximum of 100%.  With each song you clear, its maximum will increase by 2% up to a maximum of 198%.
#When you play through all 88 normal songs (murmur twins is not included), Abyss -The Heavens Remix- will appear as your 89th and final song. Clear Abyss -The Heavens Remix- to unlock it on the selected difficulty (and everything below).
