 To access the ENCORE EXTRA STAGE, the player must have unlocked and cleared the CHALLENGE charts once (indicated in one of the three slots below). All modifiers (other than speed mods) from the last song played are carried over, and the player's Flare level is set to FLARE Level VIII (EX before 2023/11/30, IX before 2023/12/7). The player's speed mod will be set automatically based on the modified speed used for the previous stage. Additionally, a "dynamic sudden" is enabled, so that during slower scrolling sections the player will only see a certain distance ahead in the chart. Unlike past games with this feature, neither RISKY nor getting a PERFECT FULL COMBO is required to clear the stage. If ENCORE EXTRA STAGE has been accessed at least once, any FLARE Level can be played on any song in the game.
