Trivia

  • The name "Sakura" refers to the cherry blossom tree that blossoms during the springttime.
  • 桜 is beatmania IIDX 8th style's Extra stage. When accessed as such, the music select BGM changes to a sample of 桜, and the background changes to cherry blossom petals.
  • In the arcade version of beatmania IIDX 8th style, 桜 had its own unique splash screen, with the text in pink. This was not carried over to any CS IIDX game.
  • As of beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro, 桜 has its own dedicated video from DanceDanceRevolution EXTREME2.
    • The aforementioned BGA has been revised for beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro.

Music Production Info

The cherry blossom is the the flower in the heart of the Japanese people. When you listen to this melody, you feel a strange sense of nostalgia welling up inside you; it is if something is awakening within our genes. The rhythm is based on that of MaxX Unlimited, and is generally refined and customized into what it is now. I was able to mix in the use of traditional instruments as I pleased thanks to today's synthesizer technology.

We've recently made a lot of songs that have at their foundations classical Japanese traditions and musical ideas, but more and more the Reven-G name is looking more towards Europe for its ideas.

Video Production Info

When you think about it, it's really amazing that people from different countries can all understand the same feelings communicated by a musical instrument and the melodies they create. I don't find it too surprising. Music has made lots of different evolutions as it's scattered across the world. I think that's one of the charms of dance music. On the other hand, there are songs that stimulate new musical progress as they themselves improve.

Among the people you see on the dance floor with nondescript clothing, a beautiful woman dancing alone in a splendidly colored kimono would attract lots of attention! (Maybe battle armor if it was a guy ... )
