General Information / Changes

  • Interface is "computerized", with a lot of white and aqua.
  • First beatmania IIDX style on new PC-based architecture, which was universally blamed for timing problems in a number of songs.
  • First beatmania IIDX style to feature e-AMUSEMENT card readers to save scores and basic clear status.
  • First beatmania IIDX style to keep track of your MAX COMBO in-song.
  • First beatmania IIDX arcade style to have BEGINNER MODE; only shows Level 1 songs for your first stage, and Level 2 songs for your second stage, etc.
  • First beatmania IIDX style to support KONAMI ID system.
  • Last beatmania IIDX to have bikini pictures in the results screens.
  • Last beatmania IIDX to have PLAY OPTIONS on title screen.
  • DJ names for high scores were extended from 4 to 6 characters.
  • Only beatmania IIDX not to have any effector options.
  • The current beatmania IIDX font for a note combo is first used in this game, replacing the font used from beatmania IIDX 6th style to beatmania IIDX 8th style.
  • Some older songs' overlays and videos have been removed, possibly due to the switch to PC hardware.
  • Total number of songs: 259
