You need an [[eAMUSEMENT|e-AMUSEMENT]] card to access the VIP ROOM. Each song features its own skin that is based off the color of the room they're in.
GOLD sees the return of the regular EXTRA STAGE system after not being present in [[AC DistorteD|the previous game]]. To access the EXTRA STAGE system in GOLD, you must clear three songs with a AA rating or higher. The difficulties you are allowed to play depends on the total number of the difficulties of the three songs you played. On SP, the total must be 10 to access the NORMAL chart, 20 to access the HYPER chart, and 30 to access the ANOTHER chart, while on DP it's 7, 17 and 27 respectively. Clearing the EXTRA STAGE on ANOTHER with a AA rating and HARD on will then let you access the ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE.
 
The EXTRA STAGE system was discontinued as of beat#2 (April 25th, 2007), with both songs added to the IIDX RECORDS folder. The EXTRA STAGE interface can still be accessed by holding 2+6+9+13 when advancing to the EXTRA STAGE.
