== General Information / Changes ==

* Theme: Nightclubs and DJs

** Both themes reference the "RESIDENT" subtitle, which is derived from the term [[Wikipedia:Resident_DJ|Resident DJ]], as well as commemorating the 30th installment of the beatmania IIDX series.

** The interface also has a sub-theme of genetic analysis, with references to DNA and RNA, as well as a double-helix shape on the chart difficulty meters.

* First beatmania IIDX game to run at Full HD (FHD) 1080p.

** The Definition Type was added back on the title screen, displayed as either HD or FHD.

** On older cabinets, all menu selection (except gameplay) runs at 30 FPS.

** An upgrade kit for older cabinets got released, removing the 30 FPS and no-camera restrictions for every cabinet that has said kit installed.

* FAST/SLOW now has an option to display separately for keys and scratches.

** FAST/SLOW colors can now be inverted.

** Similar to CastHour, these system voices are only present in the Japanese version of the game.

* The [[:Category:Beatmania IIDX Characters|beatmania IIDX DJs]] appear on the song select screen. Currently the game randomly selects between Shilow and Ameto as the character used each time you start the game.

* All daily bonuses, with the exception of Saturday's (no level restrictions in STEP UP), have been removed, and with them day-exclusive modes TIME FREE, TIME FREE PLUS, TIME HAZARD, and TIME HELL.

** LEGGENDARIA charts now cost one V-Disc to access to accommodate the removal.

* First beatmania IIDX game since PENDUAL not to have a [[lapix]] song on the default song list.

* First beatmania IIDX game since their debuts in CANNON BALLERS and [[AC Rootage|Rootage]] respectively where [[Shunsuke Sato|SYUNN]] and [[Akitaka Toyama|AJURIKA]] do not appear on the default song list.

* [[beatmania IIDX CLASSIC CLASS Dan Courses|Kiwami Dan / CLASS mode]] was added on January 12th, 2023.

** MIRROR can be enabled on either odd-numbered or even-numbered courses before each attempt. The modifier may not be changed at anytime until the end of the current attempt.

** TREND category (limited to only newly added songs and LEGGENDARIA charts) was added as a NOTES RADAR restriction.

** Level 10 was added as a Level restriction.
