General Information / Changes

• Theme: Valkyries.
• A new cabinet, the Valkyrie model, has been introduced.
  • The monitor has been upgraded to run at a 120Hz refresh rate.
  • A touchscreen has been added underneath the main screen.
    • You can now search for songs by title or artist name by entering it on the touch screen.
  • The sound system has been upgraded to a 4.1 speaker configuration.
  • The control panel has been "adjusted for e-sports".
• A new judgement, S-CRITICAL, has been introduced as a judgement stricter than CRITICAL. It is only available when playing with EXCEED START or MEGAMIX START.
  • The S-CRITICAL judgment is worth the same amount of points as CRITICAL in the normal scoring system.
  • EX Score is now displayed when using S-CRITICAL judgements.
• Two new modes have been introduced:
  • EXCEED START, which allows you to use the S-CRITICAL judgement, along with the ARS gauge and 3 songs guaranteed.
  • MEGAMIX START, which allows you to use the MEGAMIX BATTLE feature. If no players can be found to match with, it will change to EXCEED START.
    • MEGAMIX BATTLE is a two-player matching mode which uses the AUTOMATION PARADISE feature. Both players choose 5 songs each, and the total of 10 songs are mixed in real time during play. The player with the higher score for each song wins the MEGAMIX BATTLE.
    • This mode was previously promised as the 1,000,000 MANIFEST goal for the いちかのBEMANI投票選抜戦2019 event.
• A new EXTRACK gauge appears next to BLASTER ENERGY. Neither gauge can be filled using LIGHT START.
  • Unlock systems requiring BLASTER ENERGY can be accessed outside of EXTRACK, as long as the BLASTER ENERGY gauge is full.
• Every unlockable charts from previous versions have been made available to be bought with PCB without any prerequisites.
  • This also includes charts that require BLASTER GATE songs to be played, e.g. the MAXIMUM chart of iLLness LiLin.
• Unlock system involving BLASTER ENERGY and/or BLASTER START has been revamped.
  • Now you need to either clear the respective charts or play them 20 times in order to unlock them (only plays done in EXCEED GEAR count towards the requirement). This applies to BLASTER GATE and Ω Dimension charts.
  • Using BLASTER PASS will only require you to play the charts once in order to unlock them, regardless of the results.
  • Plays/clears from Friend Matching also count towards the requirement for unlocking the charts.
  • Ω Dimension charts that require other charts to be unlocked (e.g. FIN4LE ～終止線の彼方へ～, WHITEOUT, I, etc.) now can be unlocked without unlocking the other charts.
    • Exception to this are the Ω Dimension Phase.5+ charts if you haven't unlocked the folder in SOUND VOLTEX VIVID WAVE, where you still need to unlock the folder itself by unlocking all of the Ω Dimension Phase.5 songs on any difficulty. After that, you can access the folder and unlock any of the Phase.5+ charts.
• BLASTER START is revamped.
  • It's now guaranteed 3 songs with additional EXTRACK if the EXTRACK gauge is full in the respective credits. (The 3rd song is no longer considered an EXTRACK)
  • You can play Ω Dimension and HEXA DIVER charts in any stage, but HEXA DIVER is only allowed to be played once per credit.
• System BGM is composed by SYUNN.
• The UI for Song Select has received a major overhaul, returning to the vertical list style used in SOUND VOLTEX BOOTH.
• First SOUND VOLTEX game not to feature any of the navigator characters in the game end screen.
• The Hi-SPEED value is now displayed in hundredths (i.e. 1.03 speed).
  • Unlike in previous installments, the Hi-SPEED value does not pertain to the BPM.
• SOUND VOLTEX GENERATOR -REAL MODEL- has been discontinued due to it no longer being compatible.
  • However, this feature was added back at May 20th, 2021 only for Korean cabinets, as CARD CONNECT is not yet available in Korea.
• From February 24th, 2021, RASIS is featured as the announcer, voiced by Ai Kayano.
  • The announcer voice can be toggled on/off.
