- First CS DanceDanceRevolution compilation game, consisting of various songs from the main games DanceDanceRevolution through 3rdMIX CS.
- The interface is based on 3rdMIX's.
- First DanceDanceRevolution game to indicate the origin of a song from what game it was introduced in.
- First CS DanceDanceRevolution game with BEGINNER charts. However, they're restricted to a separate mode from the others, appropriately named BEGINNER MODE.
- These BEGINNER charts are not viewable in TRAINING MODE, nor can be imported to be used in EDIT MODE.
- Scores obtained in BEGINNER MODE are not saved.
- All BEGINNER charts are rated 1.
- First CS DanceDanceRevolution game to show your grade in a song on the MUSIC SELECT screen.
- First CS DanceDanceRevolution game without unlockable songs.
- Double MANIAC charts are available for all songs, including the licensed DanceDanceRevolution songs from 1stMIX, marking the first CS release of most of these charts.

Unlock Information
UNISON and DOUBLE mode
- Hold X at the main menu while starting the game with the circle button. A menu will appear and let you select between SINGLE, UNISON, VERSUS, and DOUBLE.
