  • Rival data was collected from May 13th through the 31st.
  • Final PlayStation 2 beatmania IIDX game. This was also KONAMI's final PS2-exclusive game released in Japan.

General Information

  • Only CS beatmania IIDX game that contains two discs
    • The first disc, EMPRESS, contains the EMPRESS songs and some revivals.
    • The second disc, called Premium Best, contains revivals come from every arcade beatmania IIDX game and a few unlocks.
      • ARCADE, EXPERT, and CLASS modes are not playable on the Premium Best disc.
  • Only CS beatmania IIDX game where all the CS original songs have generic videos.
  • Only CS beatmania IIDX game to not have unique pictures from beating DP Kyu courses, and the only where all ten Dan courses don't have their own individual pictures.
  • Only CS beatmania IIDX game since beatmania IIDX 12 HAPPY SKY CS to not have beatmania revivals.
  • Only CS beatmania IIDX game with new CS songs in which L.E.D. did not write a new song.
  • Only CS beatmania IIDX game officially released in South Korea, via license from UNIANA Co. Ltd, who would later distribute the arcade releases of beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro onward in South Korea as well.
    • Controller bundles were not offered with the game, however.
  • First CS beatmania IIDX game since 10th style CS not to have an animated intro at the beginning of the game.
  • Archive Mode in PREMIUM BEST contains art from all the beatmania IIDX games. The only exceptions are the bikini pictures, all of which have been removed (to keep the games their A rating).

  • Next, make an original course titled BEATFREE in EXPERT mode, using any songs in any difficulties.
  • Clear the course, and watch the staff roll until the end.

EXTRA STAGE BGM/EMPRESS PLACE in Free Mode

  1. Go into Free Mode and select options
  2. Go to start, and immediately press and hold the START and SELECT buttons
  3. The extra stage BGM and animation will be on, and EMPRESS PLACE can be accessed.
Note: Can only be accessed once per play, and playing EMPRESS PLACE in FREE MODE will not earn any jewels.

NΦ CRIME

Select the song, then immediately hold SELECT until the song loads to play the Japanese version.

REGUL-SPEED

  1. Hover over a song beginning with R and hit the SELECT button
  2. Hover over a song beginning with E and hit the SELECT button
  3. Hover over a song beginning with G and hit the SELECT button

The option will be activated. All songs will be made exactly 150 BPM. Scores and clears do not save will this is on.

ALL-SCRATCH

  1. Hover over a song beginning with A and hit the SELECT button
  2. Hover over a song beginning with S and hit the SELECT button
  3. Hover over a song beginning with C and hit the SELECT button
  4. Hover over a song beginning with R and hit the SELECT button

The option will take effect while S-Random is active. Scores and clears do not save while this is on.

RED/HOLD OPTION SELECT

Certain modifiers can be altered further. The following options turn red and do the following when you hold the key down on that option:

  • Hazard Mode: Hold down on the HARD modifier.
  • Random/Mirror with Scratch: Hold down on the appropriate modifier.
  • 5KEYS lane cover on other side: Hold down on the 5KEYS modifier.

GAMBOL HYPER Timing

  1. Hover over a song beginning with G and hit the SELECT button
  2. Hover over a song beginning with J and hit the SELECT button
  3. Hover over a song beginning with H and hit the SELECT button

The option will be activated.

All the lanes that require playing songs to be unlocked can be played on any difficulty level but BEGINNER. ASSIST/EAST CLEAR is allowed.

CATEGORY VOICE

  • Michael a la mode - Full Combo B4U (BEMANI FOR YOU MIX) on any difficulty besides BEGINNER. 5KEY and ALL-SCRATCH are permitted.
  • 小林ゆう - Full Combo 翼 on any difficulty besides BEGINNER. 5KEY and ALL-SCRATCH are permitted.
  • BLACK STAR 幸広-YUKIHIRO- - Full Combo You'll say "Now!" on any difficulty besides BEGINNER. 5KEY and ALL-SCRATCH are permitted.

MUSIC SELECTION BGM

Unlocking the music selection BGM on either the EMPRESS or Premium Best disc unlocks them on the other.

EXTRA STAGE

Normal EXTRA STAGE

In standard mode the three songs played must meet these requirements:

  • They must all be cleared with an AA or higher (INCLUDING the third one).
  • The combined difficulties of the three songs played should be 10 or higher on Single Play and 7 or higher on Double Play.
  • None of the following mods may be used: RANDOM, MIRROR, 5KEY and ALL-SCRATCH in Single Play and in addition BATTLE on Double Play.

Get a jewel on all thee EMPRESS PLACE songs. When you get the third jewel, each time after that 卑弥呼 will automatically start.

Archive Mode Gallery

  • Images are unlocked each time you improve your EX score for a revival song. Each revival song unlocks pictures from its style.
  • A selection of images (from 10th Style onwards) have multiple versions. Each version must be obtained before the next successive image will appear.
