jun
"Hana ranman -Flowers-" was released for DDR SuperNOVA.<br>
And now you can finally play it on IIDX!!

This is a memorable song, as it's TЁЯRA's first written song for the DDR series.<br>
I remember that when we were asked to write the song, we pursued the idea of "drawing new ground" with TЁЯRA's unique style, without allowing any compromises.

The lyrics depict spring in the Edo (period).<br>
While making this song, the image of a lively and gorgeous spring scenery in Edo wouldn't leave my head, so I wrote the lyrics with that in mind.<br>
....And even now, this image is still fresh in jun's mind.

For jun, this song is very emotional.<br>
That's why I'm truly privileged to share it with everyone in a different way this time.<br>
Those who have played DDR, as well as those who haven't.<br>
By all means, please play this song while humming it!

~ Shalala, shalala, people come and go<br>
Shalala, shalala, this is the flower path ~

NAOKI MAEDA
"Hana ranman -Flowers-" will remain as one of TЁЯRA's representative songs.

In order to breathe life into this song, it needs power beyond words.<br>
This becomes the song's essence.<br>
However, its the audience who loves the song that awakens and moves it.

Singing, lyrics, songs, arrangements, artists, the audience.....<br>
It's said that a song which connects them to a higher dimension is a masterpiece.

If that's the case with "Hana ranman -Flowers-", I'd be extremely happy.

DanceDanceRevolution
jun
I never thought TЁЯRA would release a new song in the DDR series.<br>
TЁЯRA wasn't around at the time of MAX2, and since then it's been 4 years...... Anyways, I only have memories of continuously running in those 4 years.<br>
I never thought the surrounding environment would change so much.

That's why... It's nice to meet you, DDR fans.<br>
Have you enjoyed playing "Hana ranman -Flowers-"?<br>
Since DDRSN launched in the United States before Japan, we intentionally made this song with "Japanesque" in mind.<br>
The lyrics depict spring in the Edo (period).<br>
While making this song, the image of a lively and gorgeous spring scenery in Edo wouldn't leave my head, so I wrote the lyrics with that in mind.<br>
This time, we crossed over "Mugen no hikari" from pop'nmusic12, as jun really likes "Japanesque". (laughs)

Actually, "Hana ranman -Flowers-" is slightly different from the usual line that TЁЯRA has been doing up until now.<br>
"I want to make a song which seemingly fit into DDR."<br>
So I inserted this concept in this song, which contains an unprecedented melody.<br>
Those who are familiar with TЁЯRA will be surprised, won't they?<br>
Still, if you can feel TЁЯRA's style somewhere in the song, I'd be very happy.

Please cheerfully enjoy playing this song, as if you were walking along through the lively and gorgeous streets in Edo.

NAOKI MAEDA
Having jun participate as a composer in DDRMAX2 was the beginning of the formation of TЁЯRA.<br>
TЁЯRA has provided numerous songs to the pop'n music, beatmania IIDX, and GuitarFreaks & DrumMania series, but DDR hasn't received a new song from them until now, so "Hana ranman -Flowers-" is TЁЯRA's first DDR original song.<br>
DDR superNOVA has global standards, so we decided to express our Japanese identity through this song... the concept isn't an interpretation of Japanese traditional folk music like "Mugen no hikari" was, but a HYPER J-POP sound with strong and catchy elements, with casual feelings of "Japanesque".<br>
If you listen carefully, it's also made with a Western music style. This deep musical element is the main point of this song.<br>
While meeting global standards, the fact that this song contains a kanji title shows my obsession with emphasizing Japanese culture.

pop'n music
jun
This is "Hana ranman -Flowers-", our debut song in DDR as TЁЯRA.<br>
I remember revising this song many times so DDR fans can enjoy playing it.<br>
The lyrics depict spring in the Edo (period).<br>
While making this song, the image of a lively and gorgeous spring scenery in Edo wouldn't leave my head, so I wrote the lyrics with that in mind.<br>
And even now, this image is still fresh in jun's mind.

Before I knew it, you can play "Hana ranman -Flowers-" on three different game series, right?<br>
It started with Dance Dance Revolution, then beatmaniaIIDX, and now it's finally available for pop'n music fans.<br>
I think "Hana ranman -Flowers-" is the first TЁЯRA song on three different machines with the same arrangement.<br>
jun thinks of her own songs like her own children, but I think this song is her happy child.

....And the flower path in the Great Edo spring is also bustling with people today.

Every time you tap a button, a bud seems to bloom.<br>
I'd be happy if everyone could have an enjoyable and gorgeous stroll along such a dream-filled "flower path".

─── Shalala, shalala, people come and go<br>
Shalala, shalala, this is the flower path ───

NAOKI MAEDA
I think "Hana ranman -Flowers-" represents TЁЯRA's changing sound.<br>
When this song was completed, it felt like I saw a new path emerge.

Hello.<br>
My name is hasi from the DDR team.<br>
This time, I was able to assist with EMI's animations.

She's a 3D character, but I would appreciate if you like her.

Staff Comments
TAMA
From the crossover requests, this was the number one in the DDR category.<br>
Speaking of DDR, I remember feeling disappointed with my limited timing and motor skills when I used all my strength on Little bitch.

eimy
This song...... I love it! A song which can be remembered after hearing it once is really amazing, isn't it? It makes me want to dance~.<br>
Also, I feel close to the its character, EMI, in several ways.

Seiya Murai
A song that came to pop'n from DDR Super Nova and IIDX15, but based on the genre name, you could say it finally returned to its original place!(^^)

chihiro
I didn't know the song title, so when I asked shio, "what kind of song is Hana ranman?", she sang it.<br>
The part where shalala is sung shows the brilliance of people coming and going, and there are various reasons why I like this part.

Daniel
The atmosphere has changed from HYPER JAPANESQUE 1, hasn't it?<br>
The shalala phrase is very catchy.

masaru
In coordination with the DDR team, we had EMI appear as a 3D character, just like AFRO.<br>
How's the hidden costume! I was a bit obsessed about it.

shio
If you borrow the representative song from SUPER NOVA, we had to bring the character along too! That was what I unreasonably requested. It was a very busy place during the development's climax... Thank you very much! EMI's costume is casual and I was worried about whether it would suit the song, but I learned that the hidden costume is a dress which also displays the lyrics, softly! Lucky!<br>
By the way, when I imagined KIKYO as the character because of the JAPANESQUE connection, it was very surreal seeing her expressionless holding a skull while dancing to the lyrics, shalala shalala.
