Hello, I'm Masubuchi from BANDAI NAMCO Studios. With the four elements as a motif, we decided to use the word "fire" for Taiko no Tatsujin thinking about "festival → dondoyaki (fire festival) → flame". (I think it was also "because the company logo is orange"....)
I've been wanting to make a high-speed boogie (high-speed shuffle) song for a while, and since it fit the concept this time, I decided to make it. If you press buttons while creating a song, the tempo goes up steadily. Computers are amazing! I was doing this and suddently it was at 246 BPM. Hooray for cheats!
It's been four years since I've made a performance song from scratch, as I haven't been composing much music recently due mainly to directing and miscellaneous work. Maybe it's a little too hard, but I think it fits as a high difficulty song for a competition.
How do you feel about the intense, raging flames? (Ah, I want to eat yakiniku!)
