Actually, this song was planned to be included in DM4th (that's a secret), but due to various circumstances, it was included in MAMBO.
I've known the vocalist emi for a long time, and we often used to be in a band together.
At that time, I was immersed in soul-styled songs, and I liked '70s soul among them, being completely addicted to the distinct groovy feeling and vintage instrument sounds.
Well, this song undeniably has horn phrases. This part is where I wanted to listen the most.
I carefully wanted to aim for a strange atmosphere which isn't too cool or lame.
This phrase is familiar! To those who think this, perhaps we've met at a legendary club event in Shibuya a long time ago (laughs).

This is TOMOSUKE's catchy and cute cute POPS. I felt comfortable singing it.
When I was an innocent teenager, I formed my first band with TOMOSUKE.
From back then, he wasn't looking at abnormal music and cute things, and I was becoming corrupted every day (laughs).
Actually, I created the "Orange Lounge" unit name with him. I named it because it was cute and sounded nice.
I never thought it'd be loved for this long.
I'm happy!

TOMOSUKE

The genre called Free Soul was a trendy sound when I was in university, and everyone danced to these kinds of songs back then.
Although this is labeled Soul, it's actual definition is ambiguous, and seems to generally refer to groovy, melodious, and pleasant music, such as soft rock and folk. It's more intuitive than a genre name.
Back when '70s fashion tastes were trendy and clubs were still underground, people looked good wearing geometric patterned shirts and bell bottoms, and slightly cyber clothes.
This time, I requested for vocals from my top student emi (laughs), and created a pop'n-styled Free Soul sound.
According to a certain person, the brass phrases which appear in the middle section are "young, mellow, and emotional".
By the way, girls also like Free Soul.

They're YOKOHAMA's top dancers. But they somehow don't like their busy lives. During their off days, they might be seen dancing in clubs playing this kind of music.

I was very happy when this is groovy and lovely song was decided to be crossed over. So, I requested for the dancer-styled character AYA to be in charge.
Unfortunately, there aren't new animations for her. I'm sorry.... but since INUCHIYO's drawings of AYA and LISA are the cutest, I couldn't make some unskilled changes to them halfway through.
So at the very least, I invited the guests Kate & Maki from MAMBO to make it feel slightly special. These two characters are fashionable and cute, right~? I recommend their fashionable dance. Please try it!
