Song Production Information

T-Hirono / SOUND

This is a bossa song that uses a Paulo Cesar Gomez scat performance to give it a certain color and nuance that isn't easily expressed by Japanese people. I think it gives it a nice feeling. The piano runs around the piece hectically as it changes key. I hope it makes you feel good as you play it.

Togo chef / SOUND PRODUCER

T-Hirono, as part of our sound staff at the Osaka branch of Konami Studio, normally is the director of our power pro music. In fact, he's also been concerned with setting the music for songs like Sana's "White Lovers" for games like Pop'n Music Game Boy edition in the past. "White Lovers" left us with a catchy melody, but this time he's given us a more polished melodious tune that's more to my liking *g* Among the usual energetic eurobeat and trance fare in IIDX, this is a more mature club music piece. It feels like an evolution from something like my BOSSA GROOVE song in the old days of Beatmania (5-key), it sure brings back memories ... Oh yes, I can't forget. The dabudabu scat and voice percussion are by "Pauliño", Paulo Cesar Gomez! Originally from the home of bossa nova, Brazil, he's now living in Japan.

Video Production Information

vj Yasi / MOVIE

First, the revival of the CS IIDX line! So, I finished this movie at the urging of the "original" CS IIDX production staff. I didn't think I would get into "dabudabu" so much so quickly, though. The most representative song of dabudabu scat is probably "Man and Woman". So, I didn't specifically aim for the images to be influenced by that song, but in the end I ended up having a lot of fragmentary images of a particular couple. There isn't any particular story behind the pictures. This is totally personal, but my own life has reached something of a turning point just as we were working on this movie, and it may have been influenced by that somehow. But "dabu dabu" people usually have happy endings ...
