Taku Sakakibara is one of the biggest names in IIDX despite his long absence from the series. Friends with both [[Takayuki Ishikawa|dj TAKA]] and [[Osamu Kubota]], his music is known for its full sound and more complex rhythms compared to some other IIDX artists. He left IIDX in 2004 shortly after [[AC_10th_style|10th style]] to focus on other musical endeavors outside of video game, some of which are available to listen to on his website listed above. He has, however, provided a few pop'n music songs with German lyrics since his departure.
