- Ultimate Ascension is a song part of the Touhou Perfect Cherry Blossom Remix Contest (東方妖々夢リミックス楽曲コンテスト). It was added to SOUND VOLTEX III GRAVITY WARS on June 30th, 2016.
- Masaya Oya was inspired by Sigmund when making Ultimate Ascension.
- Both Sigmund and Ultimate Ascension are psytrance songs that run at 200 BPM.
- Initially, Ultimate Ascension's EXHAUST chart had a long FX note that had to be held while turning both analogs (measure 74), which created a three-handed move that was difficult to execute. This note was removed on July 12th, 2016.
