This is the first appearance of Hyper notecharts in the series. Very few songs have them, though.
Katoaka Tsugumi (Parquets) and Kume Yuki (Q-Mex) make their debut in the series. [[Ma-You[[ makes his only appearance in the series outside of Pop'n Stage.
This is the last arcade version to run on beatmania hardware.
The character designs of Nyami and Mimi are a little different this time around. Their heads are bigger in proportion to their bodies, and their eyes are noticeably bigger.
