General Information
- Released: Late 1999
- This is the first appearance of Hyper notecharts in the series. Very few songs have them, though.
- This is the first game in the series to have nonstop mode, in which you play a series of songs straight without breaks between songs.
- Katoaka Tsugumi (Parquets), Atsuishi Shindo, and Kume Yuki (Q-Mex) make their debut in the series. Ma-You makes his only appearance in the series outside of Pop'n Stage.
- This is the last arcade version to run on beatmania hardware.
- The character designs of Nyami and Mimi are a little different this time around. Their heads are bigger in proportion to their bodies, and their eyes are noticeably bigger. The two are starting to look more like their modern-day counterparts.
