Todo list

This is a general todo list for things that:

  • Need finishing
  • Requesting a translation for something (like lyrics, simple stuff on pages, whatever)
  • Updating content
  • Page requests
  • Other things that need "doing" on the Wiki

Anyone can update and add to this but please make sure to sign it and include (in at least some detail) what you want done.

Please try to keep it orderly and tidy!

If you finished off something (EG did a translation request, content update, fufilled a request or whatever), want to claim a task or want to give an update on a task, just create an extra bulletpoint for it. For example:

  • We need some TAKA translations done on here here and here (pretend there's links on the heres) --Corin (talk) 03:00, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
    • Gonna work on that now --Corin (talk) 03:46, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
      • That should now finished might want to get someone to check it though. (link to diff here or something) --Corin (talk) 03:46, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

Content Updates

  • We need several more artist pages, a lot of SDVX artist who debuted in IIDX and the likes need more extensive coverage as well as some vocalists.

Pages that needs finishing

  • A current list of all the missing song pages can be found here. --totally not by MENDES (talk) 15:55, 9 April 2016 (UTC)
  • Albums and record labels are mostly missing as well (there's only one record label here and lots of BEMANI-related albums missing). --FinalOffset (talk) 03:14, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
    • I'll take care of the Dancemania/Trance Paradise articles. AeronPeryton (talk) 11:39, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
  • A lot of classic GF/DM songs are missing notecounts. I made a full list of them here.
    • All notecounts for songs appearing in CS releases are done. Going to need help with the AC exclusive songs though. Eco-shoe (talk) 05:45, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
  • Unlock information needs to be added to the pages for a lot of pre-Lapistoria pop'n music songs (especially CS songs) as well as IIDX CS songs. An example of what I'm talking about would be something like what I added to this page. --totally not by MENDES (talk) 05:40, 9 August 2016 (UTC)

Translation Requests

  • Lots of song/video production informations are missing. --FinalOffset (talk) 03:01, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
    • I'll do what I can for the IIDX parts, but I can't promise that I can get them all done nor can I vouch for the complete accuracy for them as well. We need more people to help with this. CardinalDan (talk) 12:14, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
      • Accuracy-wise I can help a little, although it'll be more English grammar and wording than the actual translation (cos I can't even read/understand much Jap and the sources :P) (Edit 12/11/15: Now I can a little). So it'll be just changing words here and there. Pointaken47 (talk) 12:28, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
    • I can work a bit on it when I have enough time (there are many things left to do here). --FinalOffset (talk) 12:55, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
  • Lots of songs need their lyrics translated or finished translating! Popping a few here. Obviously there's a lot more but this is just to kick it off Corin (talk) 03:33, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
    • I can romanize things (for the most part) and I can translate a little bit, are partial translations allowed? --Elpis (talk) 19:26, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
    • Yes, they are, though complete translations are encouraged. --FinalOffset (talk) 19:34, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
  • It really would be great if anyone could translate the character profiles and song production info of the Shiritsu BEMANI gakuen songs (found here. totally not by MENDES (talk) 10:54, 30 November 2014 (UTC)
    • Previous link goes to a now dead (I think) page. The webpage was archived luckily. --Elpis (talk) 21:42, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
  • I've translated the song information from the beatmania 3rdMIX website, and will be posting them to their respective pages. If anyone has any specific translation requests, please ping me on my page and I will see if I can fulfill them. --Calpisco (talk) 07:34, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

Page requests

  • It would be nice if we have pages about areas, like Japan, Korea, Hong Kong etc.
They will contain some brief, common information about each area, and release dates of games released in that area. --KIPPIE408 (talk) 10:25, 19 November 2018 (UTC)

Other stuff

  • I am a former Dance Maniax player (from original to 2ndMIX append JPARADISE. Also Dance Freaks when it was shortly available here), so I am thinking about adding the information of long-forgotten BEMANI arcade game in this website. Since all of these machines are gone with the wind on where I live, I might be able to remember how I played. -- TargonRedDragon(talk) 05:02, 28 June 2019 (UTC)
    • As with the other BEMANI series not covered here yet, this one is going to wait until the supported BEMANI series are more complete. --FinalOffset (talk) 18:15, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
  • Copyright/DMCA info page, this isn't for anyone to do but myself (popping it here as a reminder) --Corin (talk) 04:01, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
  • Song lists in game pages need to be put on templates, i.e. the copula page. FinalOffset (talk) 12:49, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
  • pop'n CG design information for CS games still need to be filled in. I'll get on that soon. --M.B. (talk) 17:38, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
  • Does KARAOKE REVOLUTION count as a BEMANI game? Just need to know so I can add it to the Music Game Appearances lists of some of the EXTREME CS US / Fusion / Festival DDR licenses. --totally not by MENDES (talk) 17:39, 16 March 2015 (UTC)
    • Just noticed the back covers of the american games have the BEMANI logo on them, so I say they count. Are we going to add them to the wiki too? --DJ Tomoe (talk) 11:44, 1 June 2015 (UTC)
  • A while back I got a request from a Korean editor who wished to translate the Wiki with him and a few friends/other BEMANI people. Would anyone be opposed to a KR namespace for localisation/possible other namespaces in future if anyone else wishes to take up the task? --Corin (talk) 02:29, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
  • I had an idea, and hear me out... If we're able to get the data, what if have two BPMs displayed for each song, one being the display BPM (the one shown in-game) and the other being the actual BPM? If a song's display BPM is 128 but it's shown in the data as something akin to 128.4? Small additions, slightly tedious, but I think it would be a beneficial addition, especially for people to like to create simfiles for songs and that kind of thing. --The Vibin' Jivin' Sonuvagun (talk)
    • Usually when the BPM(s) is/are different from what is shown in-game, the real BPM(s) is noted on the Trivia section of each song (i.e. Waza). So sure, go ahead and add them on the Trivia section. FinalOffset (talk) 17:36, 9 January 2016 (UTC)
  • I think it should be a rule that if we add trivia, we post sources in the edit comments. I'm one to blame too, so I'll start adding them from now on.
    • Sources, if available, should be added to the trivia instead. --FinalOffset (talk) 17:54, 12 October 2017 (UTC)
  • Replacing outdated templates: Not sure if many people are aware, but pages that use certain outdated templates can be easily found in the Special:UncategorizedTemplates page and clicking on the "What links here" link on the sidebar. Example: Template:DDR_Chart_Info. Eco-shoe (talk) 17:54, 31 August 2020 (UTC)
