Private BEMANI Academy (私立BEMANI学園)
The Private BEMANI Academy event consists on raising the Friendship between two artists to 100% in order to unlock a certain song. You need to check the Private BEMANI Academy eAMUSEMENT site after you've reached 100% to claim an unlock.

You can raise the Friendship degree by playing either beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro, DanceDanceRevolution, GITADORA, jubeat saucer, pop'n music Sunny Park or REFLEC BEAT colette -Spring-. Depending of the game that you're playing, certain songs will raise the Friendship degree of two artists faster than on the other BEMANI games.

You can also play DanceEvolution ARCADE, SOUND VOLTEX BOOTH or take the BEMANI Test in QUIZ MAGIC ACADEMY 賢者の扉 Season2 to receive bonus Friendship degrees.

Songs are ordered from the one that gives you more Friendship (and as such, you can unlock it faster in beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro), to the one that gives you the least.

LEGEND CROSS (tricoro / RED)
tricoro's first color unlock event, LEGEND CROSS system, began on October 10th, 2012. The LEGEND CROSS boss songs are mash-ups of songs from their respective versions. LEGEND CROSS originals have a red background bar on the songwheel menu. e-amusement is required to play the event.

The goal of the event is to collect "Astran shines", which are divided among NORMAL, HYPER, and ANOTHER difficulties. Astran shines cannot be obtained when playing with two players. Astran is tied to the difficulty level used on. Acquired Astran can be checked on the e-AMUSEMENT gate DJ DATA for tricoro.

You must meet certain requirements pertaining to a certain musical style to access the EXTRS STAGEs. Only by completing the required styles' requirements can you unlock that song on EXTRA STAGE.

Once you obtain the requirements for any matching pair of songs, you can unlock that song for play on EXTRA STAGE by meeting EXTRA STAGE requirements and playing songs only from that respective game's folder. For example, if you want to play rumrum triplets, you must play a set of either 6th style or 8th style songs on the same credit. The LEGEND CROSS folder will then be available on EXTRA STAGE, and a warning screen will be displayed when selected. The player will be locked on the folder once it is opened, and will remain in the event screen until the stage is played.

Inside the LEGEND CROSS folder you can select a boss song by choosing any boss number. Each boss has both halves (Old x New, and New x Old) to destroy, determined by the set of songs played for the EXTRA STAGE (for example, to defeat CONCEPTUAL boss, players must first play a set of GOLD songs (for Old x New) in one credit, then Lincle in the next credit (for New x Old).) The player will acquire crystals (for the select difficulty), which have to be obtained depending on the half destroyed in order (Old x New, or New x Old). When playing on the Old x New sequence, RANDOM must not be used, whereas in the New x Old sequence, RANDOM must be used (for Double play, RANDOM is not mandatory, though can be used for one side only; FLIP is also allowed). ASSIST, MIRROR and S-RANDOM modifiers cannot be used om either play style.

These conditions to obtain the songs are:

Once all ten crystals are obtained for the selected difficulty, a hidden sixth song, Thor's Hammer, can be selected in the LEGEND CROSS folder by holding the EFFECT button. To access Plan 8 as ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE, the player has to fulfill the same clearing conditions above (FLIP will be disabled when playing it). Playing Plan 8 as ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE will cost half of your crystals (New x Old) for that particular difficulty played, and you must reacquire the crystals again to play Plan 8 again. If the player clears the song, Plan 8 can be played on EXTRA STAGE by holding both EFFECT and VEFX buttons, though it will still cost crystals.

Ω-ATTACK (tricoro / BLUE)
tricoro's second color unlock event, Ω-ATTACK, began on December 12th, 2012. It a post-credit mini-game involing clearing viruses from a network. It will not be shown if two players are playing. Ω-ATTACK originals have a blue background bar on the songwheel menu. e-amusement is required to play the event.

To unlock the songs in Ω-ATTACK, you need to acquire CP (code points). CP can be obtained in any game mode after a credit except for the first time you play. You will play until you either press START or run out of time.

To move around the map, use the turntable to choose a direction and then press the black keys to move. You start off at CODE LEVEL 1 (maxing out a 9) with 0 CP with a maximum cap of 100. As you progress, you can level up your CODE LEVEL to attack viruses across the map, which also increases the amount of CP you can hold. Defeating viruses unlocks DELLAR, song charts, and even weapons. There are also warp pads that you can use to warp around between areas and both SECTORs.

Unlock Information
Occassionally you'll be stopped by a gate. To open the gate, you need to get all seven KEY PROGRAMs in each SECTOR. Unlocking the gate in SECTOR-A allows you to get トリカゴノ鳳凰 and proceed on to SECTOR-B. SECTOR-B's KEY PROGRAMs, once obtained, allows you to obtain the final boss song Proof of the existence. You can continue afterwards across the map to destroy blank squares, but they only reward you with DELLAR.
Extra Stage
In Standard Mode, during your final stage, the following conditions will allow you to access the Extra Stage:
* obtaining a perfect combo
* obtaining a full combo on a 5 or greater on Single Play or a 4 or greater on Double Play
* finishing with 100% gauge on a 7 or greater on Single Play or a 6 or greater on Double Play
* clearing an 8 or greater on Single Play or a 7 or greater on Double Play

What happens during your first two stages has no influence on whether or not a normal extra stage is attainable, so you could, for example, fail the first two stages with a DJ VIP Pass and still obtain an Extra Stage as long as you met the conditions on the final stage.
You have four weapons you can use on your journey, though you only start off with 1WAY.

LIMIT BURST
* 1WAY: initial weapon. It attacks one square adjacent to the open square for Lv.1. Uses 1 CP.
Unlike prior versions, tricoro provides multiple boss songs for its default Extra Stage. With the exception of Sol Cosine Job 2, all of these songs are boss songs from other BEMANI games that have not been crossed over before.
* 3WAY: obtained in SECTOR-A. Attacks selected and adjacent squares on both sides of it by Lv.1. Uses 2 CP.
* LASER: obtained in SECTOR-B. Attack four straight lines for Lv.1. You can attack distant cells not connected to the land as well. Uses 3 CP.
* BOMB: obtained in SECTOR-B. Opens up six squares regardless of square level. Uses 4 CP.

Each LIMIT BURST song, in addition to requiring the Extra Stage to be unlocked and that the first three stages consist of songs from a specific subset of songs, has four different phases of unlock conditions. Each phase, except for Phase 4, has a minimum total difficulty requriement and minimum clear status requirement. Phases for each song cycle every week, until Phase 4 (except for Timepiece phase II).
To unlock charts, you will need to be at certain levels to unlock them. They are as follows:
* Phase 1:
** NORMAL and HYPER charts are not available.
** ANOTHER chart: Total difficulty of at least 33 and a Full Combo.
* Phase 2:
** NORMAL chart is not available.
** HYPER chart: Total difficulty of at least 27, Hard Clear or above.
** ANOTHER chart: Total difficulty of at least 33, Ex Hard Clear.
* Phase 3:
** NORMAL chart: Total difficulty of at least 18, Assist Clear or above.
** HYPER chart: Total difficulty of at least 27, Normal Clear or above.
** ANOTHER chart: Total difficulty of at least 33, Hard Clear or above.
* Phase 4:
** All charts: No difficulty requirement, Assist Clear or above.

WARNING: Failing any stage will prevent any LIMIT BURST songs from appearing, even if you have met the requirements for that song.
* SECTOR-A:
** 仮想空間の旅人たち: level 1 (NORMAL/HYPER), level 2 (ANOTHER)
** 8bit Princess: level 1 (NORMAL), level 2 (HYPER/ANOTHER)
** トリカゴノ鳳凰: level 2 (all charts)
** Reflection Into the EDEN: level 2 (NORMAL/ANOTHER), level 1 (HYPER)

02/18/2013 UPDATE: To unlock the charts of the LIMIT BURST songs in STANDARD mode, you need to buy Devil Cards and Angel Cards using Dellars. If you played them as LIMIT BURST Extra Stages, you can unlock them by using Devil Cards; otherwise, you have to use the more expensive Angel Cards.<br>
* SECTOR-B:

** Proof of the existence: level 3 (all charts)

After completing a credit of play, you initially choose one of four space monsters to fight. The space monster has a health icon, and the amount of damage done to it increased in the order blue, then yellow, then red. The damage you do to the enemy depends on the time of day you attack it; please see BEMANIWiki 2nd for more details on these times. === Timepiece phase II (GUITARFREAKS 10thMIX & drummania 9thMIX LIMIT BURST) ===
With each attack, the HP of the monster will decrease according to the damage done, and increases the HEROIC GAUGE and CRITICAL GAUGE. For each third of the HP you depelte from a monster, you will earn its charts in the order of NORMAL, HYPER, and lastly ANOTHER. Increasing the HEROIC GAUGE by each third also unlocks a chart of the chapter's corresponding CS song in that order. CRITICAL GAUGE, when full, allows one to use a special attack, shown as a cut-in animation with your Q-Pro. This increases the damage you do by double, but also completely deplets the gauge. Your ATTACK LEVEL will also increase after a CRITICAL GAUGE attack (50 is the max level). Once both regular bosses in a chapter are defeated, you can then fight the big boss of that chapter. Once all six bosses from both chapters are defeated (plus the HEROIC GAUGE songs are obtained), you will then fight the final chapter boss. Defeating the final chapter boss ends the event.
Original Version
* Current Phase: 3
* You must have unlocked たまゆら (from Ω-ATTACK SECTOR B).

CS Revival Unlocks
By completing the sequence, you will unlock two Q-pro sets: the poster character of beatmania IIDX 21 SPADA, and Phoenix from トリカゴノ鳳凰.
As of 12/06/2012, Time to Empress and mnemoniq are automatically unlocked in STANDARD mode.

Ω-ATTACK (tricoro / BLUE)
* S
The Ω-ATTACK unlock system, introduced on December 12th, 2012, is an after-play mini-game that involves clearing viruses in the network.<br>
** Graduate from STEP UP mode. If you have already graduated, you will need to play STEP UP once. Note that graduating in Single and Double are separate.
The last day of the Ω-ATTACK event (tricoro / BLUE) was on March 20th, 2013. Ω-ATTACK has ended.<br>
** This condition is also necessary to obtain the letter A (the first one).
For every play of beatmania IIDX, regardless of the mode chosen or if you clear a stage or not, CP is awarded. You use CP to purchase weapons to clear the viruses. As you clear more of the viruses, you unlock song charts, unlock new weapons, and upgrade your code level to earn more CP per play. Some tiles also require more hits to clear (for example, Level 2 tiles requires 2 hits to clear).<br>
The cost and effects of each weapon are as follows:
* 1-WAY (1CP): Hit one tile adjacent to the selected tile.
* 3-WAY (unlock in SECTOR A, 2CP): Hit 3 tiles adjacent to the selected tile.
* LASER (unlock in SECTOR B, 3CP): Hit 4 tiles in a straight line.
* BOMB (unlock in SECTOR B, 4CP): Clear all 6 surrounding tiles (regardless of level) adjacent to the selected tile.

** Your Q-pro avatar must be dressed with items whose initials make up the word "SPADA" by reading from the Hand part (i.e. reading upwards).
** The possible combination is shown in the following picture.
*** The Prince Body, Cuvele's Sword and the Aegis Face items must be bought. They cost 9000, 6000, and 38000 DELLAR respectively.
*** The Sport Festival 3 Head item can be obtained by completing the third year of STEP UP mode.

The event requires players to be registered to a store. Once a store is chosen, players cannot change it to another one anymore. The progression of the event is store-based - if a player unlocks a song in a specific store, other players registered to said store can play the song too. Bosses' HP carry as well.
Shiritsu BEMANI gakuen (私立BEMANI学園)
私立BEMANI学園 is a BEMANI-wide event that began on April 23rd, 2013 and ended on December 19th, 2013. For more information on the event, please see its event page.

Regardless of the chosen mode, after a play session you will access the boss battle screen where you can select the boss to attack. Each bosses have a HP bar which consists of a blue gauge, a yellow gauge and a red gauge pieced together. When the blue gauge reaches zero, the Normal chart of the YELLOW BOSS song gets unlocked; yellow gauge and red gauges unlock Hyper and Another charts respectively. Dellar points are gained after every attack.
Songlist is ordered from the songs that give you the most Friendship to the least. Elemental Creation will can only be unlocked once all other songs are, and then you raise the Friendship degree of dj TAKA and DJ YOSHITAKA to 100%.

CS Crossovers instead require the HEROIC GAUGE to be filled, whose process is much quicker. However, unlike the YELLOW BOSS songs, the HEROIC GAUGE is player-based instead of being collectively store-based, meaning that players can unlock the CS Crossover only for themselves.<br>

The strength of the boss increases in proportion to the amount of players registered to a store. The amount of damage dealt to the boss depends on the player's Score on a song, on the difficulty level of a song and on the mood of the boss, which is scripted to change during specific hours of the day and shown by the three different types of "smiley" faces appearing on the boss selection screen. If you win a Rival Battle, the amount of damage dealt to the boss will be doubled, or almost as doubled against Chapter 2 bosses.
Q-pro, Mimi, Nyami & Pastel-kun no minna de uchuu sensou!! (クプロ・ミミニャミ・パステルくんのみんなで宇宙戦争!!)
クプロ・ミミニャミ・パステルくんのみんなで宇宙戦争!! is a collaboration event with REFLEC BEAT colette and pop'n music Sunny Park that began on July 29th, 2013 and ended on May 14th, 2014. It is based on the unlock system of OUR SPACE WAR (ぼくらの宇宙戦争); this time, songs are unlocked individually and not per-store. For more information on the event, please see its event page.

The sword icon on the screen represents the Critical Gauge. Once filled, in the successive boss assault the damage dealt will be greater (players can make their own "critical attacks" in the eAMUSEMENT website). Critical Gauge is filled faster by playing songs from different IIDX versions within the same play session.

Today's Featured Songs
* (Red) Sword Icon: damage increase.
beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro introduces a feature called 今日のイチオシ (Today's Featured Songs). Every day, on all tricoro machines, three songs are marked as "featured". You can see which ones are marked in the Data Entry window or in the songwheel menu. Playing all three of them in a session will grant you bonus dellars.
* (Yellow) Shield Icon: HEROIC GAUGE increase.
* (Blue) Sword Icon: Critical Gauge increase.
* (Cyan) Hexagon: Bonus Dellar Points.
* (Gray) Mamonis: Nothing.

ぼくらの宇宙戦争 songs (except CS Crossovers) have a background yellow bar on the songwheel menu, instead of gray.
The featured songs are chosen under a certain criteria which changes weekly, from Wednesday to the Tuesday of the successive week.

NOTE: In ACT 7, all stores co-operate to defeat the final boss.
For the list of featured songs, please check the beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro Today's Featured Songs List page.
