Trivia
- The "single compilation album" TaQ refers to in the production info is likely a tape given to him by his friend SubSimon in 1994 containing the Sven Väth song "Accident in Paradise", which he says is one of the songs that helped get him into electronic music during that period. "Of course", he goes on to say, "since I've always been into music, and I've considered computers and electronics one of my fortés, you could say that getting into techno was a natural thing."
- traces' overlays were removed from the IIDX arcade games as of beatmania IIDX 20 tricoro due to technical issues.
Song Production Information
Everything started with that single compilation album. I was drawn into the world that unfolded from that sound I'd never heard before. I yearned after that sound, and began to make something close to it, bit by bit. I've begun to realize that even my journey for self-expression began with a desire to recreate that kind of imagery. How many times have I wandered, nowhere to return to, my destination lost? Seven years have passed since then. I've finally started to realize what I'm looking for, and where I should go. It's been a roundabout journey, but by tracing my path I feel I've gotten just a little bit closer to that place, which is like a miracle in and of itself.
Video Production Information
So, I think this song is what you'd call the "real thing". I'm very happy. Jaaman. Trance. Welcome, all you frivolous window-shoppers that have been so busy these days. Hm, I really do like listening to trance, but there aren't a lot of songs that you can just completely let your guard down with and lose yourself in like this one. I've only listened to this song once, but I get this feeling like, "It's here." Hey, I bet you'll get that feeling too ...
A sea of light and the scales of the dark. Conflict and reticence. Elegance and excellence. The dual nature of solitude.
Welcome to TaQ's World.
