For example, if you want to play rumrum triplets, you must play a set of either 6th style or 8th style songs on the same credit. After which, the LEGEND CROSS folder will be available on the EXTRA STAGE, and a warning screen will be displayed when selected; the player will be locked on the folder once it is opened, and will remain in the event screen until the stage is played.


* IIDX RED: get a Silver Tran Medal for completing the first year in STEP UP.
Inside the LEGEND CROSS folder, you can select a boss song by choosing any boss number of its choice. Each boss has both halves (Old x New, and New x Old) to destroy, determined by the set of songs played for the EXTRA STAGE (for example, to defeat CONCEPTUAL boss, players must first play a set of GOLD songs (for Old x New) in one credit, then Lincle in the next credit (for New x Old).) Doing so, the player will acquire crystals (for the select difficulty), which have to be obtained depending on the half destroyed in order (of Old x New, and New x Old). When playing on the Old x New sequence, RANDOM must not be used, whereas in the New x Old sequence, RANDOM must be used (for Double play, RANDOM is not mandatory, though can be used for one side only; FLIP is also allowed). Any ASSIST, MIRROR and S-RANDOM modifiers ''cannot'' be used for either play styles.
* 2nd style: get the DJ POINT Tran Medals for NORMAL (1000), HYPER (2000), and ANOTHER (3000) (note that must be done between either Single or Double; they are not combined).
* 6th style: get a Bronze Tran Medal for completing five different days of Today's Featured Songs.
* DistorteD: obtain a rank/grade Tran Medal.
* GOLD: get Tran Medals for playing one song in each game folder from [[AC 1st style|1st style]] through tricoro on each difficulty level you want to unlock the chart at (minimum of 60 plays for all three difficulty levels). [[AC substream|substream]] is not required.
* Resort Anthem: end at least one song on a credit with a EX SCORE of 573.
* 10th style: finish at least one song on a credit with Floating HI-SPEED set to 5.73.
* 8th style: play one or more songs in one credit, aliginging the target score graph with "PACEMAKER ---%" and entering in the order of "5", "7", and then "3" on the numeric keypad.
* DJ TROOPERS: finish at least one song on a credit using SUDDEN+/HIDDEN+/HID-SUD+ so that the green number is 573.
* Lincle: during a credit, choose a song for FIRST STAGE with x5 seconds, then SECOND STAGE with x7 seconds remaining, and FINAL STAGE with x3 seconds remaining.
* UNKNOWN-1: defeat the first five songs two times each to obtain five crystals. See below for more details.
* UNKNOWN-2: defeat the ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE boss.

Successfully accomplish the above, and you'll head to the EXTRA STAGE song of your choosing, where you will fight a boss in that song. Each boss has a top and bottom half to destroy, which is determined by which game you chose for your EXTRA STAGE. For example, to defeat the boss of CONCEPTUAL, you'll need to play through a credit of GOLD songs for its top half, and Lincle songs for its bottom half. Each successful defeat earns you a crystal. Crystals ''must'' be obtained in the order of (old x new) and (new x old) in order to gain access to [[Thor's Hammer]] and [[Plan 8]]. Which difficulty you obtain the crystals on determines what the difficulty level you get the two above songs on (i.e. if you collect 10 NORMAL crystals, you'll proceed to Thor's Hammer NORMAL and then Plan 8 NORMAL).

Requirements are as follows to defeating the bosses (you need to at least EASY CLEAR or above, regardless of difficulty chosen). MIRROR and ASSIST options are ''not'' allowed. FLIP can be used on all bosses on Double, however.
After obtaining ten crystals by defeating the both halves of the five preceding songs, you then gain access to [[Thor's Hammer]]. It will then appear in the LEGEND CROSS folder by holding the EFFECT button. To access [[Plan 8]] as ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE, the player have to fulfill the same clearing conditions above (FLIP will be disabled when playing it). Playing Plan 8 as ONE MORE EXTRA STAGE will cost half of the crystals (New x Old) for that particular difficulty played and players must reacquire the crystals again to play Plan 8 again. If the player clears the song, Plan 8 can be played on EXTRA STAGE by holding both EFFECT and VEFX buttons; likewise, playing Plan 8 on that manner will also cost the crystals as well.

After obtaining ten crystals by defeating the top and bottom halves of the five preceding songs, you then gain access to [[Thor's Hammer]]. It will then appear in the LEGEND CROSS folder. To move on to Plan 8, you must EASY CLEAR or above the song with the grade requirements of the above songs. If you meet the conditions with all ten crystals in hand, you will move on to Plan 8. FLIP will be disabled when playing it. The difficulty level you play depends on what you cleared Thor's Hammer on. Clear the song, and that difficulty level will appear from then on in the LEGEND CROSS folder. If you fail the song, you will lose a few crystals you gathered on that difficulty level and will have to re-obtain them to play it again. Even if you pass Plan 8, you will have to reobtain the bottom half crystals again to play it again.


In addition the above seven songs, two CS crossovers can also be obtained during the event by meeting certain requirements. [[Time to Empress]] can be unlocked by finishing one of the sets of requirements for the boss songs, and [[mnemoniq]] can be unlocked defeating one of the bosses on both the top and bottom halves.
