A lot of years have passed since the first time when I was involved in the production of beatmania.
Quite a lot of time has passed since I first got involved in the production of beatmania.
Initially when I participated, the seniors gave me lots of advice, and taught me the music and arrangement trends, and which game patterns were not suitable for beatmania, for example,
When I first started out, my senior colleagues taught me various things to be aware of, or rather, what sorts of music, arrangements, and game patterns don't fit beatmania.
Repeating without progression is bad, always progress
For example:
The larger amount of sounds, the better

Assigning the bass sound to a key is bad
Don't be repetitive, have progression
And so on.
Use a lot of sounds, the flashier the better
Certainly, these methods really make sense for gameplay, and allowed to us to write our own songs, and also to subject the commissioned artists to the same direction as well. This worked so far.
Don't assign bass sounds to the keys

However, through a variety of songs, I realized that maybe there is another method to have an interesting song, and at the very end of beatmania, I made all the NG techniques fly away. Let's make a good, interesting song. And with this enthusiasm, "fellows" was made.
And so on and so forth.
To the great beatmania which became even bigger, this is a thanks message.
These ways of doing things certainly made sense in terms of the game.
The organ of this song can be heard from the start of the song to the end, repeating the same performance of the four measures, is completely free of progressive melody, while the tracks have not more than 10 number of sounds, which is not suitable for the original beatmania, as the song has a extremely simple style progression with a small number of sounds.
I wrote my own songs along these lines as I simultaneously directed outside artists in the same way, and that's how it unfolded.

For the vocals, I was looking for someone who her vocals were familiar in beatmania, so I asked Sana for her help.
However, through various songs, I gradually started to learn that there are other different ways to create interesting songs.
Even though this is officially my first collaboration with Sana, I think that her vocals are more delicious than those of any vocalist that I've heard.
During the very last opportunity for beatmania, I attempted to create a good, interesting song while intentionally using all of these supposedly bad techniques.
Her appearance to sing at the booth was very stylish, like the wind. Sana's experience began in beatmania. Since then she became a great musician, and that's really moving.
That song turned out to be fellows.
Oh yeah, Sana's official site is now open, so please check it.
It's also a message of gratitude to the great beatmania, which made me into who I am.

The organ in this song is in an extremely simple style: no progression, very few sounds.
Actually, from the time the song begins until it ends, it repeats the same four measures, with absolutely no progression.
The number of tracks, or "the number of sounds," doesn't even crack 10.
Both of these were things that supposedly didn't fit beatmania.

For the vocals, I had the staff search for people who have an affinity to beatmania, but there was only one person who could fit the bill, so I asked for Sana.
Officially, this my first time working with Sana, but I think she sung better than any vocalist I've recorded up to this point.
It was very cool to see her sing, it was like a wind blowing through the booth.
I felt very moved that she became an amazing musician through various experiences ever since she started out in beatmania.
Oh, right, I heard that Sana's official website is open, give it a look too.
