- Professor SHION appears in APØCALYPSE RAY's jackets, except for its ADVANCED jacket.
- 30 seconds through APØCALYPSE RAY, the entire background goes dark with only the SOUND VOLTEX symbol appearing in the center. A shutter then opens to reveal a space background (as seen in the jackets for all difficulties), followed by a spaceship (as seen in the ADVANCED, EXHAUST, and MAXIMUM jackets).
