Song Connections / Remixes
The beatmania series use OPERATOR (Original Radio Mix) from PAPAYA's Operator single, while DanceDanceRevolution series use a version of OPERATOR from PAPAYA's Pink album.
The full, unmixed version of OPERATOR appears in PAPAYA's debut album, Pink.
In DanceDanceRevolution 3rdMIX, OPERATOR was titled OPERATOR (Two Gees Mix), despite that the original version of OPERATOR is used in BEMANI. This was corrected on the DanceDanceRevolution 3rdMIX Original Soundtrack album and later in DanceDanceRevolution 3rdMIX PLUS.
This mistake was kept in DanceDanceRevolution GB2.
OPERATOR (hard version)'s charts were later put as the ANOTHER charts for OPERATOR in beatmania completeMIX 2.
OPERATOR received new Double NORMAL and HARD charts in beatmania III (although both charts are identical).
In DanceDanceRevolution GB2, OPERATOR (Two Gees Mix) runs at 137 BPM.
Song Production Information
PAPAYA (real name Linnea Handberg) was born in 1976 to a Swedish father and a Russian-Danish mother.
She composed songs herself for Denmark's Scandinavian Records in 1997, debuting with the song Hero.
A hit in Europe, it was even released in 1998 under Madonna's label Maverick Records.
PAPAYA unveiled her debut album Pink in February 1999, with this song being the latest single from that album. (From Dancemania X3)
