Song Production Information
The new song "Awakening Wings" is the theme song for the tournament. Arisa Date, a voice actress and professional mahjong player affiliated to "KONAMI MAH-JONG FIGHT CLUB", is in charge of singing.
PON
I'm PON, who's in charge of songwriting.
Date is singing this time, so I aimed to make a rock song with a pop melody.
Thanks to Sota's nice arrangement, Date's great voice stands out in the aggressive song.
In order to produce that aggressiveness, to feel like I was stretching her voice, I made a demo of the song in a slightly higher key than Date's to practice.
I was about to give it to her as it was, and lower the key if she had any difficulty singing it, but surprisingly, Date admirably practiced and finished recording in that key!
It goes without saying that her aggressiveness was more than I expected! It's manly! And cool!
Please feel Date's fighting spirit and passion!
Sota Fujimori
I was in charge of arranging & finishing the song produced by PON.
I really like the addition of the live guitar, which completes the song with a driving feel and a rock taste!!
