Donyale Renee who has lived in Atlanta, GA since 1995 has performed several private events for former Atlanta Mayor Bill Campbell while being signed to Platinum Atlanta Records (1995-1997). Donyale was a co-writer of the campaign song for the former Mayor of Atlanta Shirley Franklin (2002) which was used throughout her campaign.
Donyale has sung background vocals for Mariah Carey, Monifa, Michael Henderson, and Maxi Priest, and was the opening act for artists such as Smokie Robinson, The Manhattans, Theodus Ealey, among others. From 2008 to 2011, she had the opportunity to sing with Chinese artist Jane Zhang (also known as Zhāng Liàngyǐng).
