Lyrics

Are you ready?
Ready for the race? Are you ready?

OH OH OH EJO, Are you ready?
OH OH OH EJO, Are you ready?

The wheels go round and round
You hear the scream - you hear the sound
You're fast - you're on the run
You give the best to be the one

Come on and join the journey
This is a journey into sound
As long the wheels are turning
The race is all around

Are you ready?
Ready for the race? Are you ready?
Are you ready?
Ready for the race? Are you ready?

OH OH OH EJO, Are you ready?
OH OH OH EJO, Are you ready?

Are you ready?
Ready for the race? Are you ready?
Are you ready?
Ready for the race? Are you ready?

CAPTAIN JACK, who debuted in 1995 with their eponymous single Captain Jack, is a duo consisting of military-clad rapper Franky Gee and vocalist Liza da Costa. It charted number one in the Netherlands and Hungary, with their debut album recording 4 million sales in Europe. Their second album, Operation Dance, released in 1997, had consecutive hits with Together and Forever and a cover of Madonna's Holiday. This song, The Race, is a roaring guitar track.

DanceDanceRevolution 2ndReMIX

This is a military dance number by CAPTAIN JACK, consisting of Franky and Liza from Germany.
In 1995, their debut song "CAPTAIN JACK" became a big hit across Europe.
Several of their songs were included in the Dancemania series, and there were many requests from Dance Dance Revolution fans for them to be added in the game, so they were included here this time.
"THE RACE" is scheduled to be included in DancemaniaX4.
This is a hot number which conveys the thrill of a race circuit, with echoing engine and break sounds.

DanceDanceRevolution 3rdMIX

Continuing from "IN THE NAVY '99", this number is a single cut from the album "The Captain's Revenge". CAPTAIN JACK seems to be proud that they are a very popular unit in the Dancemania series, so it's a good tune for people who don't choose to listen to them. The enthusiasm of racers before a tense race...... an F1 race spectacle comes to mind.

Video Production Information

It's a race, just like it says. I didn't have to think too hard about ideas, but it was a little tough since I'm no expert on cars. The race queen's outfit is kind of questionable and she seems a little bashful. I wonder why she's wearing that getup?
