Page cleaning

Many songs here don't have ANY sources. I'm locking this page, Later Appearing Songs, Cancelled Games, and What Could Have Been. Reason being that everything on these pages will need a source, if possible, so I'm going to search for graphical evidence, screenshots, or their respective references on a master song list to include them as a source.

If I can't find a source, the entry in question will be either removed or hidden. --FinalOffset (talk) 01:46, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

JUMP and EYES ON ME featured in FINAL FANTASY VIII (Almighty Mix)?

I was just browsing through this article, and I noticed two missing pieces of information:

  • JUMP by BUS STOP was in the location test for DDR 1st Mix and didn't end up in the final product.
  • EYES ON ME featured in FINAL FANTASY VIII (Almighty Mix) by FAYE WONG was in the location test for DDR 4th Mix, but all data for that song was scrapped on the final product.
    • I know about both, but other than word of mouth, is there any report of the location tests or some other proof? --FinalOffset (talk) 18:47, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
    • I remember Tyma from ZiV saying that EYES ON ME was on pre-release 5thMIX screenshots or something. --DJ Tomoe (talk) 19:12, 23 December 2014 (UTC)
    • JUMP confirmed from several location test reports. As for EYES ON ME, I'll look for those pre-release screenshots, thanks. --FinalOffset (talk) 13:19, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
      • I remember DDR Addict from Z-I-v claiming that there was an official banner for JUMP, although JUMP has not been readded to the scrapped songs list again. So uh any thoughts on this lol -- User:SomethingRandom (talk) 20:15, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
        • also i just found this, and this video has the official jump banner (skim thru the video) as well according to DDR Addict (known as RIME on discord) as seen here:
          Evidence maybe idk.png

TURN U ON

  • This YouTube video claims this song was scrapped for DDR 3rdMIX, though I've never really any heard of any data for the song. That background sure looks like a typical DDR 3rdMIX song background, though. --M.B. (talk) 01:48, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
    • First time that I have heard that TURN U ON was on the 3rdMIX data. The background is fanmade, if I recall correctly is from the DDRMAX3 simfile pack. --FinalOffset (talk) 01:59, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
      • no, it's a bunch of hogwash. if it were actually in the data for 3rdMIX, we'd have found it by now given that 3rdMIX has been out for over a decade. also, that bg looks fake as shit; i say this due to the lack of posterization that's found on every pre-SN song graphic as well as the odd dimensions of the bg itself. --AnonyWolf (talk) 06:40, 9 October 2015 (UTC)
        • (Unneeded bump, but I'd thought I share) Well there is proof that Ultra High Heels was in-game, and that there was a song banner hidden in the data. Despite that, we have yet to find that, and finding actual evidence (like in data or master list) that JUMP and EYES ON ME were in DDR location tests beside some rumors. -- User:SomethingRandom (talk) 8:00, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
        • If DDR follows how other games structure their master song lists, songs from location tests may or may not be listed on them, depending on how early/later were the songs scrapped. EYES ON ME just seems unlikely given how the original song is from a Squaresoft game, while JUMP has been constantly reported as part of the first DDR location test with MONEY. --FinalOffset (talk) 14:19, 27 February 2017 (UTC)

霖が哭く

The idea has been floating around OutPhase for a few days but I'm entirely convinced that it's the Power Of Nature jazz song that was planned for Sunny Park. Should it be moved to the Later Appearing Songs page? --ArrowsAndBeats (talk) 17:06, 13 October 2015 (UTC)

5-10

5-10 has full sets of XG charts in the data for XG3 (and a jacket in GITADORA), but would it still count as a scrapped song if it already appeared in classic GFDM? --Rice Qrispies (talk) 01:35, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

  • Although you're right, 5-10 might appear in a later GITADORA title, which is why I left it out of this list for now (I think that Charismatic also had leftover charts that were later used). --FinalOffset (talk) 02:20, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

kumamon

ラピストリア has a dummy data .ifs file called kumamon, which is the name of a Japanese prefectural mascot. Funassy is another prefectural mascot whose theme song officially appeared in ラピストリア. Is it possible that Kumamon's theme song, Kumamon-mon, was also planned to appear in ラピストリア? --ArrowsAndBeats (talk) 23:08, 10 June 2018 (UTC)

  • Good catch, I looked around for further references (graphics, mentions on the master song list) but couldn't find anything else. Probably an earlier build of Lapistoria would have more info for it (as it has been the case for various scrapped pop'n songs). --FinalOffset (talk) 04:23, 12 June 2018 (UTC)

Dummy graphics?

Has anyone got the graphics for Love songs and YOU PASSED ME BY? Curious to know what they look like. Ditto for the ULTRAMIX 2 scrapped songs (including g.m.d.). -- User:SomethingRandom (talk) 20:16, 30 December 2018 (UTC)

ADDICTED TO BASS proof image

proof image goes here. it's also present in the masterlist. --TikalFan9000 (talk) 17:54, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

Ricky D. featuring Janina - It's summertime

According to The Cutting Room Floor, there is leftover data for It's summertime // Ricky D. featuring Janina (from Dancemania BASS #5) in DanceDanceRevolution Solo 2000. However, the site notes that only the music preview is in the data for the final build.

  • Added. --FinalOffset (talk) 01:51, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
  • Just for the record, it's me who added that info to TCRF. Background talk: While me and a group were finding the decryption tables for the MP3 files in the game's CD and decrypting them, I stumbled across the sample music (that I posted on TCRF). Sadly the actual song audio was dummied with a "scale check" sound. I'd have to check if there's also step data but I can't promise anything. --Wanny (talk) 16:55, 4 August 2019 (UTC)

Charts' rating for DDR/DS scrapped songs

I wonder where difficulties' ratings for scrapped songs were found? I'm pretty sure that they are cut from game data, and existing ratings here are custom. --Artyomich (talk) 08:58, 24 February 2020 (UTC)

DDR A: Twinkle Wonderland

It's already mentioned on the song's page in the trivia section that the audio & step data were found in DDR A data and removed in later versions. Think it's fair to create a new section for DDR A and add it now that A20's released. --anko (talk) 07:05, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

  • I BELIEVE this section is only for songs that never appeared in ANY BEMANI game in their final versions whatsoever, Twinkle Wonderland is a BEMANI transplant as it is already appears in the final build of REFLEC BEAT limelight and other BEMANI games it may have crossed into, and is fully playable and can be accessed by the public. For stuff like unrealized BEMANI transplants, we put it in What Could Have Been. Lepton and timepiece might probably get moved to what could have been, they are already present in some sort of BEMANI game, unless those count (meaning im dumb)--booty (talk) 15:23, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
* Ah, I see; wasn't even aware that page existed, won't add it then. There's no mention of the "Could Have Been" page on here, so this page needs a mention of that at the beginning. --anko (talk) 22:30, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
* This page seems inconsistent in what gets added here. There's a couple entries in the DDR section (one being for TOTAL RECALL) that did show up in other games, but the other games were released first, I think. --Thunderbird (talk) 03:33, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
    • Cleaned a bit this page, as Timepiece phase II was clearly out of place here. Regarding TOTAL RECALL and 組曲『 』, I'm not sure about moving them as licensed songs are not "crossed over" to another BEMANI game, they're just licensed again. --FinalOffset (talk) 17:33, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

Anikurage remixes

Is it possible that the Gabriel DropKick and POP TEAM EPIC remixes found in IIDX 27 are the same remixes that this page says are unreleased? --totally not by MENDES (talk) 16:05, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
