= extracting sprites from GF6dm5 =
hello! i'm pretty sure you're the person who's made all of the GFDM pages on TCRF (i doubt i'm wrong but it's good to clarify i think xD) and i have a question, how were you able to extract sprites from the .DAT files used for movies from GF6dm5 and the games before it???
| |||
i've had no trouble with extracting sprites from the .FCN files used in GF7/dm6 and onward, surprisingly all i've had to do was open the game file in jPSXdec since system 573 hardware is PS1-based (it can't detect audio though but that's not my concern, i just want to look at my favorite movies' sprites), however doing the same with GF6/dm5 (the specific one i'm trying to extract from btw) it does not detect any images. i figure it probably has to do with some sort of a file structure change made in between GF6dm5 and GF7dm6, but beyond guessing that i've had no idea what to do about it T~T
| |||
i honestly have no important reason for wanting to know though, i just want to have BREAK OUT's sprites since i really dig its designs lol, and the last sys573 game it was in was GF6dm5. any help would be greatly appreciated though! :D --Cosmoandvitamin (talk) 06:21, 28 June 2022 (UTC)

== Proper sync for the Disney Grooves cover of Can You Feel the Love Tonight ==
Since ZIV's simfile of Can You Feel The Love Tonight is set at a constant 172 BPM, instead of the fluctuating tempo described in its article, would it be possible for me to receive the proper sync for it? Disney Grooves banners and others
I think it should be ok (in my opinion) to upload them, seeing as Remywiki has generic banners uploaded on here before (e.g. Dancing Stage EuroMIX, DDR Winx Club (licenses), UNIVERSE series, etc.)

BPM data for the Claw & the Dragon
Would you mind checking the chart data for the aforementioned song in pop'n music 7 CS to see if it's a constant tempo? I'm making a simfile for it, but I'm not convinced it's 100% constant. Christinaaguilerafan56 (talk) 12:38, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
- i have no access to the 7 CS data, so i can't help you with that
the only game in which i have proper access to the chart data is beat n groovy, which has unused arcade "recording" charts in a very readable format
--tikal. (talk) 10:45, 22 January 2021 (UTC) - APPEND: what i can do is try to create an estimate based on just the audio. while it may be more accurate in terms of song-wise sync, it might not be accurate to the actual chart data
--tikal. (talk) 10:55, 22 January 2021 (UTC)- That's fair. Christinaaguilerafan56 (talk) 12:38, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for helping with ParaParaParadise
I know we don't really get along here, but I just want to thank you for your hard work on completing ParaParaParadise's pages. Couldn't have done it without you. --M.B. (talk) 16:59, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
About values for the unused 3 panel difficulties in Solo 2000
Tikal, can you kindly explain where did you get the values for the unused 3 panel difficulties in Solo 2000?
When using the MAME cheat to access them, they show as 0. --Wanny (talk) 04:29, 19 May 2022 (UTC)

- one thing to consider is that the .dat files in the folder DATA6 (which contains the files you want) are all giant sprite sheets
they can be seen with tiledggd using the following settings
- TYPE 1 (gameplay and songs)
for 4bpp stuff, the width is 3072
for 8bpp stuff, the width is 1536
- TYPE 2 (screens)
for 4bpp stuff, the width is 4096
for 8bpp stuff, the width is 2048
- the height is the same for everything, around 512
you may have to shift the graphic offset in order to scroll through these sprite sheets
the sprites' respective palettes are also in the .dat files, starting at offset 0x800 for 4bpp stuff and 0x2800 for 8bpp stuff
this system was also used in gf4dm3 and gf5dm4
oh and before i forget, the sprites you want are contained in the file LFMFEFBJ

- And i'm not using it.
I transcribe the text and search for the definitions in the
jisho dictionary and try to form comprehensive sentences with them. Not my fault if the results end up being the same.
