Lyrics
The clouds up in the sky are several shades of grey I need to find the words you wanted me to say And even now the land is dark and overcast I'm dreaming of a brighter future Does it seem to you, I always take this tone Should I check for rain again? Are we all alone? Does it seem to you, I'm lost and starry eyed Should I keep on waiting here, looking for a bluer sky Looking for a bluer sky Looking for a bluer sky

Song Production Information
‘Shades Of Grey’ is supposed to be a very positive track, the lyrics and chord progression are supposed to be quite 'empowering' for the listener. Donna has such a deep emotion in her voice and we wanted to create a track that contains as much of that uplifting ‘happy hardcore’ vibe as possible, whilst keeping the nature of the music itself and the production very much on a 21st century tip. The piano is different to the usual hyper-fast patterns usually employed in music of this style, we wanted to show how musical hardcore can be without losing that ‘ravey’ edge and danceable lead line.
