Rie Aono is a Japanese singer-songwriter and vocal trainer whose career stretches back to 1996.
Debuted in 1996 as a member of the gospel chorus group VOJA led by Yuka Kamebuchi. She participated in two albums released by Toshiba EMI. She has performed with Akiko Wada and Ken Hirai, and has appeared in various live performances, TV shows, and commercials. After graduating from VOJA, she started her solo career, and in 1999, she co-starred with Nana Kinomi, Yuji Nakamura, and Jun Togawa in the stage play "Techno Cabaret" produced by coba.
