This is totally unrelated, but recently all of us on the arcade team were invited to an event celebrating the launch of a (5-key) Beatmania machine. Thanks for letting me borrow this space to talk about it; it was a really nice thing to do. | |||
However, it's been five years since we've been involved in home production. The pleasure of this job isn't so much the ceration and editing, but the knowledge that somewhere, someone is having fun playing your songs and watching your videos over and over again. | |||
Well. Like the song, this movie is fairly simple and easy to understand. My intent was to create a movie that was a homage to the minimalism of those early days of Beatmania, but the line between that minimalism and my own lack of time, equipment, and expressive power is pretty fine. | |||
