Profile
Akihiro Honda was an in-house composer for KONAMI, mostly working for Kojima Productions (METAL GEAR, ZONE OF THE ENDERS) as well as other KONAMI game series such as Boktai, Castlevania / Akumajo Dracula, QUIZ MAGIC ACADEMY, as well for some pachislot games. His last known work for KONAMI is Sins of the Father for METAL GEAR SOLID V.
Akihiro left KONAMI in April 2014, and after his departure, he produced music for the Toylogic game Happy Wars in 2015 and currently for Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, remixing the Fortress Boss theme from Super Mario Bros. 3.
Akihiro currently works for Cygames.
Trivia
- According to Akihiro Honda himself, his Dr.Honda alias originated from his initial plan to name himself "Dj.Honda", but changed it when he found an artist using that alias existed already. His Dp.Honda alias, which he used in pop'n music, is a slight alteration of the above alias, where the "p" stands for "pop'n music".
