Artist Information

Profile

Masaki Sekikawa (関川聖城) (born September 16th, 1993) is a Japanese music producer and SOUND VOLTEX contest winner mainly known for his articulate chiptune tracks. Unlike other chiptune producers, Sekikawa often incorporates other sounds and even real instruments, using them to compliment but also keeping them from overpowering songs. The result is a hybridized sound that separates itself from other chiptune works while still retaining the essence of the form. Aside from chiptunes, he also composes artcore and piano-based tracks.

Sekikawa often appeared in compilations from the salvation by faith records doujin label, to then generally contributing to SOUND VOLTEX-oriented circles. He also spends his time developing his own games.
