Trivia

This song has different backgrounds, banners, jackets, or other related images. For more information, please see this page.
  • Ignis†Iræ is the Location 6 Volcano song of beatmania IIDX 28 BISTROVER's EXTRA STAGE system, BISTRO LANDING, and the final non-SECRET song of the event. Its charts could be unlocked from July 15th, 2021.
  • Ignis†Iræ is Jun Wakita's first original song in the beatmania IIDX series since 牧神笛吹きて, back in beatmania IIDX 21 SPADA.
  • According to Ignis†Iræ comments, Jun originally received an order for a musical piece with the theme of hot springs, and that he planned to have a warrior personifying the hot spring resort appear.
  • Ignis Irae is Latin for "Fire of Wrath".
  • According to 着信★うた♪, the artist name "神" is pronounced ゴッド (GOD) instead of the traditional かみ (KAMI).
    • This is consistent with the correct answer "ゴッド" as seen in QuizKnock Stadium BEMANI イントロ STADIUM ver. beatmania IIDX when the game asks the player to name the artist after hearing an audio sample of Ignis†Iræ.
  • Ignis†Iræ was added to beatmania IIDX ULTIMATE MOBILE on June 6th, 2024.
  • Ignis†Iræ is unlockable in beatmania IIDX INFINITAS (2020) from October 2nd, 2024 after purchasing its charts with BITs.

BEMANI Sound Team "GOD"

Hello there, I'm God. Wait, no, no. Absolutely not. Please call me Kami-sama.

This time, Kagura and I, who we are close to each other in terms of appearance, played as if we were a god-god duo.
In other words, I'm like the god who doesn't have fun.
I have no fun here. In fact, I am not having fun at all.
As if, at the retirement games of professional baseball players, there are those who give a press conference saying that they never had any fun playing baseball.
I probably feel the same way. After all, I am a professional.

As I was mumbling to myself, I was limping, without spirit or energy, as usual.
And then, L.E.D., the devout lamb, made a wish for me to write a song for IIDX.
Well, it's not a wish, strictly speaking, but it's more of a business request instead. And it came. It just came one day.

God was furious. God doesn't understand IIDX.
Before I knew it, the most talented track makers in the music scene had gathered together.
IIDX has become a place where the latest club music is performed using the latest equipment, the latest techniques, and the latest taste.
To be frank, I don't get it. It's scary. It makes me scared. (My personal opinion.)
It's no longer something that can be handled with the same old skills I had. So I feel like I don't want to be in the same ring with them.
I don't want to be in the same ring as you. To be frank, IIDX is no longer my place anymore! You know that, right?

I've been saying these things over and over again in my mind, running away, putting it off, and before I knew it, it had been about eight years since I contributed.
In other words, it seems that the time for paying tribute has finally come for this time.
I may be a god, but I have to pay tribute to the humans. It is said that the more ears of rice grow, the more they droop their heads.
But if this is the case, then I should have at least written about it in Rootage, which looks back on the past.
It's a nostalgic story, and I could have made an excuse that it's old-fashioned and on target.

Well, as Mistborn said, the bill for your life will be paid at the most difficult time.
To students who have a bright future ahead of them, please be careful. It's really dangerous to put things off like that.

But God is a man of information, so he know exactly what he's talking about.
IIDX has traveled to a lot of places this time, right? It's basically like, "Travelling is awesome, let's go somewhere sometime!" Something like that, right?
If so, it will be a music from a region that no one knows, like Unjarague Travia.
If you make music that no one knows the correct answer to, you might be able to fool them somehow...?
I was trying to find a ray of hope in this low-level direction.
As if he had realized this, L.E.D. appeared dashingly and said,
"If that's so, please choose a hot spring as the theme."

Huh.
Hot springs.
Hmmm. Hot springs...
Let's make it a samba and sing "Viva Viva Non". No?
Then...

Let's start with an intro that sounds like FLOWER.
Then maybe I'll make a solemn harpsichord that resembles a public bath in ancient Rome.
Let's get a bunch of anthropomorphic warriors from various hot spring resorts and have them shout "OOH!"
If you're looking for a hero song, you can't go wrong with the timpani and marimba arrangements from the past.
IIDX's scratch sounds have always been either cymbals or timpani.

Now, I was starting to feel like I had a good idea of what I wanted to do.
In fact, I was trying to keep my distance from L.E.D. as naturally as possible when the delivery date started to flicker.
As if he had realized this, L.E.D. appeared again and said,

"Excuse me. I know it's a little shameful for me to do this, but for various reasons, please make the music theme a volcano instead of a hot spring."

Huh.
Volcano.
Hmmm. A volcano...

The god was furious. In his anger, he spewed fire, like the old man's violent eruption.
The flames that erupted as a result lit up the night and burned the whole world for seven days.
As a result, people recognized the volcanic eruption, and thus the flaming aftermath, as the wrath of God.
Sometimes they feared it, sometimes they respected it, and sometimes they used it to burn iron, make tools, bake food, and warm themselves.
In other words, this culinary evolution is the reason why IIDX BISTROVER was born in the future.

I don't care what you say.
In fact, unfortunately, or fortunately, even though it was just before the deadline, I had only played about five notes on the timpani.
I had no reason to be angry, and was rather pleased that the deadline had been extended.
I threw away the idea of the hot spring and solemnly wrote the volcano song with a completely fresh mind.

In other words, what I wanted to convey the most in this long article is a lesson that postponement is not always a bad thing.
I will continue to do my best to put things off.
In the end, I was not a good person in many ways, so I have been given a pardon for my genre.

I'll see you again in probably around eight years.
This is God.

I still remember making it while being forced to the edge.
My screen and schedule were on fire!
Now I'm just happy that we made it past the firestorm!
