Profile
Masaru Shiina, better known as Go Shiina, is a video game composer and former staff member of BANDAI NAMCO. Masaru joined NAMCO, the predecessor of the current BANDAI NAMCO, in 1997 and is known for creating the earliest versions of the arcade version of THE IDOLM@STER in 2005.
Masaru is one of the leading composers of the Tales series along with Motoi Sakuraba, and has contributed to various games: e.g. Ace Combat series, Mr. Driller series, Tekken series, God Eater series and 太鼓の達人 series.
Masaru left BANDAI NAMCO in September 2017. In 2019, he composed the BGM of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (鬼滅の刃) anime series with Yuki Kajiura.
Trivia
- Masaru Shiina uses a "Go Shiina" alias that has the same kanji representation of his real name but has a different pronunciation. This is because he thinks "豪" is a difficult kanji to read.
