Wasn't there a translation from NAOKI at one point discussing how VANITY ANGEL was a song he'd worked on for a while, but it kept turning into something else? I remember reading something like L'amour et al liberte, TEARS, and others (maybe Rain of Sorrow?) being mentioned as original stabs at making VANITY ANGEL, but they turned into their own tracks instead...
