The event can be accessed from the song selection screen, where it appears as a special folder (it can only be accessed once per credit). Note that once you confirm on entering the event folder, you can not return to the regular song selection screen for that stage. It is also not possible to switch between SINGLE and DOUBLE play in the folder.

On the event, players choose one Dojo (流派) to unlock the song which represents that Dojo. Each Dojo is themed, i.e. a Scratch Dojo, and contains a selected song list that fits the Dojo theme (on the previous example, the Scratch Dojo will contain scratch-intensive songs). Note that Level and Difficulty restrictions are lifted on the Dojo.

After playing a song from a Dojo, players will move to another screen, where a seven-keys keyboard is shown with different DJ ranks on each key, and enemies representing the Dojo appear (how the DJ ranks on each key is determined needs confirmation, but it is actually thought to be related to the accuracy for each key during the last song played). Then, players will cause damage to the enemies, damage being directly proportional to a higher DJ rank. If 3 Mystery Scrolls are used, all keys with a rank less than AA will be boosted to AA.

At this point, the player is given the option to raise any key rank corresponding to an active opponent to AAA (a key that is already at AAA can be chosen for this, if a choice is not made, one is randomly chosen). Then, players will cause damage to the enemies, damage being directly proportional to a higher DJ rank. If 3 Mystery Scrolls are used, all keys with a rank less than AA will be boosted to AA.

Defeating enemies will award the player with BUZZ, and each difficulty for the Dojo new song, starting with NORMAL, then HYPER, and once all enemies are defeated, ANOTHER.
Defeating enemies will give the player the award they are holding, if any. Enemies may hold BUZZ (which will give 1000 BUZZ), NORMAL and HYPER charts, and a special item to increase the 忍気 meter by 1/3. The ANOTHER chart will only be awarded once all 7 enemies have been defeated.

If playing a mode where the event cannot appear, playing songs will increase a special 忍気 meter, which will make attacks more effective. This will be consumed the next time the player enters the event folder. The following bonuses are available:

*'''STANDARD''' (with 2 players): 1/12 per song
*'''EXPERT'''/'''CLASS'''/'''HAZARD''': 1/12 per song
*'''FREE'''/'''FREE PLUS''': 1/6 per song
*All timed modes are currently unknown.
